  1. Rob, I know it can be a frustrating process...... I have been looking through the UBI forums for that error message and it seems the most likely problem is that there is a corrupted file in the patch that you have. The general consensus seems to be to 'download it again and then try it' which I know is not very helpful. Example. There has been some mention that maybe some of the patches linked to in the patching guide in the IL2 forum I posted yesterday may have some problems. One of the threads I found provided a link to the patches from another UBI site and the person posting it said th
  2. Hi R Tate, Yep, looks like the patching process has messed things up a bit. After you uninstall Pacific Fighters, I'd reinstall it outside of the default 'Program Files' folder into a new folder you create such as 'Games'. It seems Windows 7 doesn't like to let you save changes to things like the Config.ini folder if it is installed in 'Program Files'. This may help your patch install too? (I've only ever tried to install IL2 1946 on Windows 7 and the merged version of Pacific Fighters on Windows XP so have no experience of Pacific Fighters on Windows 7 but if I can help I will ) Cheers,
  3. What error does it give? A corrupt patch maybe? I'd suggest downloading it again (if possible from a different site) and then trying to install this new patch.
  4. R Tate, This is a link to the UBI forums which has the patch order listed. UBI Forums Pacific Fighters was intended to be used as a standalone game or a game merged with the earlier Forgotten Battles + Aces Expansion Pack game. To this end, the patches to be used were different. If you are trying to patch the standalone version, make sure any patch you use does not have an 'm' at the end (i.e, pf v303m.exe) as these are intended only for the merged version. If you are still not successful, try posting in the Community Help section as there are a lot of knowlegable folk there. HTH, Work
  5. Hi Fellas, This was on the BBC website stating that EADS will bid alone on the refuelling aircraft contract for the USAAF without its previous partner, Northrop Grumman, after their joint bid was pulled last month. BBC Website Also, if you look at the Video links down the right hand side there is a link to some inflight shots of the Chinese J-10 Vigorous Dragon which I'd not seen much of in the past. Cheers, John.
  6. Hey Moeggo, The paint job looks great but you haven't glued the gear in have you? Cheers, John.
