  1. Hello guys !!! First i have to finish my EC-135 austrian police project !!! Then i have a UH-72a Lakota in 1:32 in my mind. As basic kit i will use the Revell REGA kit. The build will be out of the box, except the interior styling and some antennas outside of the helicopter. I have allready decals from Renaissance Models. As my second build i have a BK-117 in mind, used for EMS missions here in Carinthia, callsign is RK-1 ("red cross one"). This build also straight from the box, in this case the Medicopter 117 kit from Revell, also in 1:32. And if there is any time left, hopefully :-),
  2. @ Anthony in NZ Yes the skids are included in the kit, but they have to be modified ! But now some more pictures of today: I added the SX-16 and the fast rapeling device. Greetings from Austria Michael

  5. Hello guys !! Inspired by my friend and also some pictures of the newest police helicopter in Austria, i decided to build it from the Revell "Luftrettung" kit. In this kit there are most of the details missing in the cockpit, so i made copies of the panels, fire extinguisher, crashsender and the seats. Some other parts have to be scratched, like the biggest thing in the rear compartement, the FLIR-operator workstation. Here are some pictures: Some pictures of the real helicopter will follow in the next days, had forgotten my harddrive at home ! Greetings from Austria Michael

  9. Thank you for all your comments so far !!! @BrittMac You a right, for the skids i used a hanger ! The skids and the crosstubes were linked with CA-glue that i shaped in form a little bit ! To get the right angle, etc. i took the download of the product data book from the Bell Helicopters homepage. Then i sized some drawings of the Bell 206 Long Ranger, from this data book, into 1/32 size, so i could bend the skid and crosstube parts according to this resized drawings. The same i have already done with some EC-135s to fit the rear tailfin and it works fantastic !!! Greetings Mike

  15. Photo update today !!! The white colour of my Long Ranger is drying and i am lucky to say, that the model only needs a little more putty, because of a little gap on the nose. But the i can work with the putty and sand it, because the nose has to be coloured red :-) Greetings Mike
  16. Thanks for your comments so far !! @ AnthonyNZ I have choosen the old Austrian Ministry of the Interior livery (not the blue one). In this livery the Long Ranger flew emergency rescue missions. Most of the helicopter will be white with blue and red stripes. sorry that I can`t show you any photos here in this thread, because the photos are not mine, and so i have the fear, that it will get problems because of the copyright. So you have to wait until i post new photos of the model :-) Greetings Mike
  17. @ hooknladderno1 If you look on the first page of this thread you can see, where i made the cuts. But if you want i can send you pictures via e-mail, where you can see, how somebody made this cuts on a Jet Ranger in 1:48. About the skids, i must say, that i scratched them with wire that i took from a hanger, according to the Long Ranger Product Data Book from Bell Helicopters. More pictures will follow in the next few days Greetings Mike

  21. Hello !! The work on this project is resting at the moment. I had to build a BK-117 for the ECO 7 from Ikarus (radio controled) in 1:11,5 (~ 1,20 meters long) in the design of the Air Rescue Austria (ARA). This was an order of a doctor, who flies on the BK-117 (callsign: Red Cross One). But when i will work on the Long Ranger again, there will be pics in this thread. Greetings from Austria Michael
  22. @ Gino Since the beginning of your Jayhawk build i am following this thread and i am fascinated about your work. There was also a report abaout the USCG in german television, with a lot of scenes with the HH-60J during hurrican Katrina. So i ordered the Academy kit too , to try this conversion according to your pictures. Hope to see some updates soon. Greetings Michael
  23. Also my second helicopter for this group build: Basic kit was the Dragon UH-1N kit in 1:35 , which i converted into a Bell 412 of Helitalia. More details can be found in the GB-section. Hope you like what you see Greetings from Austria Michael

  25. Hello guys !! I already posted some pics of my EC-135 in the In-progress section in this forum, but nobody was interested. So i try it here in the helicopters section. During building my Bell 412 (in the GB section) I saw a first photo of the EC-135 in the very interesting new Schider Helicopter Service livery. So i decided to build it. Basic kit for this helicopter is the Revell Air Zermatt kit in 1:32. I improved following things: - corrected the tail fin (0,8 mm shorter) - corrected the landing skid - installed the wire strike protection system - added the window in the left rear cl
