  1. Thanks a lot guys! Both for the answer to my question and for the link on how to convert my model from an “A†to a “Bâ€!
  2. Hei all, I'm mainly a rotor guy, so I hope you that you´ll be nice to me! I'm building the 1:72 Hasegawa Viking and I thought that I might arm it with a couple of Harpoons. But where are they carried? On the underwing pylons or in the weapons bay?
  3. Hei, I'm wondering if anyone who has purchased the Eduard 72378 - SH60B/J Seahawk photo etched set could help me out. I'm currently building an USN SH-60B and I lost part no 80 - the hoist (wire) hook. Yes, there are two parts no 80 but the other one is stuck to my SH-60J... So if someone has an extra part 80/hook and would be willing to sell or trade it I'd be really grateful. I'm building the helicopters so that one can see the similarities (though one has open doors and the other one has not) and this hook is needed for just that reason. Oh, and I currently reside in Sweden but I am more
  4. Hei, I would personally recommend Hasegawa´s SH-60B and SH-60J respectively. I am currently building these models (side by side, so to speak). I have understood that these models are not completely accurate, neither externally nor internally. Indeed, the interior is... I think "missing" describes it quite well. However, as far as I have built them they fit together without any hassle. Also there are tons of photos of the aircrafts on the internet, so finding reference material is no problem. Lastly there is a photo etch-set from Czech company Eduard, which makes up for the missing interior
  5. That is exactly what I needed to know. Thank you very much! Kalle M, Finland
  6. Hello! I have ordered a book specifically about Black/Sea Hawks but it has not arrived yet. And I can not find the answers in my other books either. So if anyone would know the answers to my question I would be most grateful for a reply. What I am wondering is: In the SH-60 Sea hawk, on which side does the pilot sit and on which side does the co-pilot sit? Is it the pilot or the co-pilot who starts up the engine and check the systems? If it is the pilot, can the co-pilot still sit down and buckle up while he/she is waiting for the pilot? I need the answers for a diorama I am planning.
  7. Hello, This is my first group build as well. I am in with: 1/72 Hasegawa SH-60B with Eduard photo etched set 1/72 Hasegawa SH-60J with spares from above mentioned photo etched set I might also use the Hasegawa US Pilot/Ground Crew set, and make a diorama. To be perfectly honest I haven't decided yet, as I want to be sure that my motivation lasts all the way! Good luck to everyone and we'll talk more later. Kalle M, Finland
  8. That sounds great! As for my Seahawks, these will be the second and third models that I build after a 10 year intermission from the hobby. (The first model after my return was a rather crudely built hummvee.) With these I will try to reach as high a standard as possible. I have a lot to learn, including spray painting, but I look forward to doing so. Cheers! / Kalle
  9. Hei. That is a really good site. Thanks a lot! Kalle
  10. I hope that I do not ask a question that has been asked many times before. If so: Feel free to shout at me! But what I wonder is if there are any (online) walkarounds and/or places with a lot of pictures of the the SH-60B/J. If someone has any tips or advice I would really appreciate it!
  11. Good luck with this one! I am building the the same model myself, along with a SH-60J also from Hasegawa and same scale. I will build them OOB though, save for the Eduard PE set which I will add to the SH-60B. (Since I want to depict it with doors open.) Will you post any progress pictures? I would love to see them!
  12. Yes, that camo is probably going to be a real pain! It's impressive when it's done with an effort, though. I will continue to keep away from it, but I wish you good luck. And I hope that we get to see some pictures of your model in the future! Kalle M, Finland
  13. I actually tried to write a message to Italeri just yesterday, on their website. At the top of the page there is a clickable "thingy" (I don't know the English word. Is it "button"?) saying "Contact Italeri". However this did not work for me. I do not know if it was temporary or not - I might even try again later today. Regarding missing/lost parts I wrote to them via regular mail. The decals to my HH-60H were missing and so I used the coupon specifically for this purpose, printed on page 2 of the instruction sheet. The decals arrived just a couple of weeks later and so my advice is: Try to
  14. What scale are you looking for? Because if you want to build it in 1:72 scale I guess that you could get my Italeri "sponson/pylon deals" (UH-60A) and Hasegawa tanks (HH-60D) since I won't be using them anyway. I'm not much of help in other scales or concerning decals, though...
  15. Well, of course I am not going to "do" the models. But I think that you did understand that. And cheers a lot! Kalle M, Finland
