  1. Hi all, A question about supergl;ue, the cyanoacryl... thing... Whatever I try, degreasing with alcohol at plastic on plastic parts, resin on plastic or resin on resin parts, joining painted / unpainted parts together and even sanding both joints of both parts... The joint with CA glue always turns weak and after some time it breaks or just disintegrates, where the CA glue remains and looks like white powder at the edges. I use the medium thickness green bottles with CA glue of zap-a-gap. My question to you all, what do I do wrong? I've tested this on several cheap cockpit set waste mater
  2. I know this hasegawa kit has a parapack tail included: http://cgi.ebay.nl/1-48-F-16A-TIGER-MEET-1...1#ht_4171wt_915 It's for modeling an F-16a block 15 though. If you want to model an F-16-AM (MLU) for which the DACO decals are intended, use the birdslicers updates (inclued in aires f-16AM update set) in front of the canopy and use the http://www.ipmsusa2.org/reviews2/aircraft/..._f16mlu-pit.htm The Hasegawa kit is a bit outdated, use the aires nozzels if you like: http://cgi.ebay.nl/Aires-4133-F-16-EXHAUST...b#ht_1770wt_915 Or even the wheel bay update: http://cgi.ebay.nl/Aires-4194-
  3. Hi Alex, No need to worry at all about distinguishing the upper and lower dark and light ghost grey tones on the F-18C. Just look at this picture: http://www.1000pictures.com/view.htm?cairc...jpg+x1280+y1024 And I've seen tons of them where the two shades cannot be distinguished very well. Too sharp a contrast is not even nice in my opinion, too less contrast does not matter I think, specially not when heavy weathering is done. When are you going to build that S3 Shadwo you bought from me? I'm curious as I think your USN planes are always top of the bill and very beautiful. I'm working
  4. Can you point out the differences? And do you know what block the True details F-16A cockpit set builds into default, block 15?
  5. Hi pandabear , peacock8 and nubaba! Thanks for all these useful comments and list to scratchbuild! I'm planning to do an earlier Dutch F-16A, could be block 1,5 10 or 15 F-16A. I'm still wondering which plane to pick and build from pictures from this site: http://www.milspotters.nl/forum/viewtopic....asc&start=0 I guess I can better start off from the Tamiya Thunderbirds kit when reading this? I have two pieces of the True Details F-16A 1:32 cockpit as well, but this will not fit the Tamiya viper I'm afraid. I also have two sets of very nice and colourful Dutch Decal sets in 1:32 wi
  6. Hi, Because of its low price, I purchased an Hasegawa 1:32 F-16A kit, which seems to be a block 1, 5 and/or 10 kit. It has the small stabilizers. Does anyone know if there's a block 15 and beyond aftermarket item for this? I know the block 10 stabilizers from Cutting Edge, do they also have block 15 (the bigger) ones? Though it will be difficult to find these without meteorprod anymore... Anyone in their spare parts box? I'm willing to pay for them ofcourse. Thanks, Frank.
  7. Alex, If you prefer the Italeri S-3 kit it's allright with me. If I can help you out with the ESCI/AMT/ERTL ES-3 kit, I'll be glad to help you out, otherwise it will keep lying on my shelf. Regards, Frank.
  8. Alex, Could be 1:48 AMT/ERTL ES-3a Shadow as well, I'm at work at the moment and cannot check the box...
  9. Hi Alex, I have the ESCI 1:48 ES-3a shadow (not S-3 Viking) on my shelf in mint and complete condition. I live in the Netherlands, Europe and have ofcourse no idea where you live, so I'm willing to ship it(well packed) to you for the actually shipping costs to your location. How much euro's did you have in mind for this kit? I was thinking around 40 euro's, which probably at the monent is around 60 US Dollars. If you want a secure way for this transaction I can also open an Ebay auction with the buy it now option on a certain date and time for you. Check my 100% positive feedback on my e
  10. Hi, Thanks for your replies, I found a Hasegawa F-16B 1:48 on Ebay indeed and also purchased theKinetic 1:48 F-16AM (MLU) NATO Viper, as it seems a very nice kit, except for the exhausts and other minor flaws. Had never heard of Kinetic before. Thanks again.
  11. Hi Everyone, It seems the Hasegawa F-16B is out of production again. It was back in production some years ago, but probably the selling rates were so bad, Hasegawa put it out of produciton again. Has anyone any idea where one can still get an Hasegawa F-16B 1:48 ? To me, putting any brand of any model of any F-16 type out of production would be like putting any spitfire type model out of production, so I cannot understand this at all. Furthermore, there are still very nice detail sets for this model on the market or still available on for example ebay, from aires, black box etc... This b
