  1. All of the Classic Airframes kits are out of production, as CA stopped producing kits about three (?) years ago. Your best option is to look through eBay and forums that have selling sections in them. Kit shows/swap meets are also good sources. Sometimes you will find a hobby shop that has a few, but these are left over stock. Good luck in the hunt. Steve
  2. I just finished reading "D-Day in the Pacific: The Battle of Saipan" by Harold Goldberg. I have been on a WWII - Pacific War kick for the past year. This is a very good account of the Saipan invasion, which hasn't been covered as in depth as Iwo or Okinawa. Highly recommended. Before that I read "The Last Epic Naval Battle: Voices from Leyte Gulf" by David Sears. This one started out slow and confusing but did describe the battle very well in the later chapters. Next up: Battle for Tinian Steve
  3. 51 earlier this year, building since '65. Steve
  4. Looking forward to getting mine, I ordered it from the Starship Modeler on line store yesterday. Steve
  5. There may be some available after the convention, but no guarantees. You can try posting here afterwards as well, there may be people who atten/register who do not want theirs. Steve
  6. Los Sanchez is good, and not too far away. You may also want to check out Casa Gamino at Brookhurst and Ball, or Old Mexico Restaurant on Lincoln near Beach. Steve
  7. The 1/48 Fujimi Bf-110C/D kit i the only early Bf-110 in kit form. I have started one as well, it is a good kit with delicate surface detail. It is weak on the interior and wheel well detail, if you are concerned with these areas. There is also a good aftermarket cockpit from Aires for this kit. Steve
  8. So the blue is correct - thank you very much Eduard. That is a big help. I don't think I will need the pics, I do have some black and whites for markings help. Thank you for the offer. You've got to love this place, there is a ton of knowledge out there from you people. Steve
  9. I recently acquired the new Special Hobby 1/72 Koolhoven FK-51 kit (a pre-war Dutch biplane), and I find that I have no references on the colors and markings. The instructions have you paint the single color scheme as overall light blue (RLM 65 in Gunze paint line, to be specific). Does anyone here have any other information to confirm or rebut this? I googled the airplane, but I cannot find anything specific to colors and markings except the Avia Camoflage Profiles Archive (http://wp.scn.ru/en/ww15/o/1115/144), it shows an indistinct gray similar to the kit box cover. Any help would be ap
