The question: Is there a concise list of the exterior shape issues of Tamiya's older F-15A release? The motive: It would be useful for a backstory regarding a What-if F-15 variant. Thanks, Daryl J.

The canopy is squashed when compared to the aircraft almost exactly like Monogram's is. It's pretty obvious once compared to a real A-4. Does anyone know if the Squadron replacement fixes that issue? TIA, Daryl J.

My canopy is quite wavy/distorted and has some sink marks alongside the cockpit where detail inside is thicker so I'm glad to hear yours is better. That being said, I ordered another kit. Watching this build with interest.

Announcement from Great Wall Hobby on their 1/48 F-15B/D kit
Daryl J. replied to Jennings's topic in Jet Modeling
This bodes well for the single seater methinks. We've come a long way since the release of the (never corrected) Academy MiG-21s that needed approximately $100 in resin just to fix shape problems back then! Do GWH, et. al. have access to real F-15s? Or is it more akin to Hobbico/Revell's access to the Pakistani JF-17 Thunder? -

Announcement from Great Wall Hobby on their 1/48 F-15B/D kit

At least this company isn't too proud to make corrections. Am watching the brand with interest.....and my wallet. It's partly why 3 of their MiG kits reside in my home. -
Superlatives are in strong order here.

Thanks, Victor, for the comment. I'd love to see a photo montage of your build up to compare with this thread's photos.
