  1. Looking very nice. Glad to see this one coming back from the dead.
  2. If that is indeed the case then I lucked out. 158240 us a Huey and 168240 is an Osprey.
  3. Okay so what would that number be 76 0240 150240 for the Navy?
  4. I don't understand this. What would 8-27-76 be for this?
  5. UGGH no wonder i Couldn't find it. oh well thanks.
  6. Is there a way for me to find out if a USAF aircraft has my birthday as its serial number? I was born on August 27 1976. So I am searching for one that would read 76 827. How would i find this out. Or even 87 6827? I highly doubt the second one though. But still it would be cool to model such an aircraft.

  17. Apparently the fire in Torrington CT on Tuesday or Wednesday evening claimed at least two businesses including a True Value Hardware store... and Hobby Town (NOT AFFILIATED with the franchise, I believe he was at one point but not anymore.) Not sure of the damage in the Hardware store, there was also a music store upstairs and at least one or two others as well. From what I hear the Hobby Store was a total loss and he had NO INSURANCE.... not sure why. Sal is a good guy hate to see this happen to him. He had rockets, some train stuff a small amount of models lots of NASCAR diecast and other co
  18. I'd say that your brought some serious peace to a dying old man. I'll bet he appreciated that visit you two had more then you will EVER KNOW...
  19. You know something. Every time a ship is decommissioned its because the Navy has something newer or BETTER or BOTH.. They know damn well it will never sail again. If they DONATED it to someone the day after rather then letting them sit for so damn long maybe the upkeep would be much cheaper and much easier. And there's far more history with the carriers then anything else. Take the Forrestal for example just two things that come to mind for me are the fact she was the FIRST one of the supercarriers, then you have the C-130 situation, all her deployments. Look at the Oriskany which is long
