  1. I'm looking for the steel beach EA-18G Growler Update set #32011. If anyone has one and is willing to sell or anyone who can point me in the right direction I'd be eternally thankfull
  2. Hopefully I am doing this right... I have a few high end kits with the "BigEd" goodies. I would like them to go to a good home. I have a Trumpeter F-6F-3 (1/32) w/BigEd, Kinetic S2E (1/48) w/BigEd. I am a disabled veteran with bilateral Acoustic Neuroma (s). I will probably never get to them -let alone finish them. Anyone interested? Hopefully I posted this right! Of course I will include pics etc., But before I put a lot of effort into this, I wanted to check interest?!? Thanks all, take care of you and yours. -Tom 267-410-9164
  3. Hi Guys, Can anyone tell me if someone makes one of these in 1/32? I have a link to the Cobham site data sheet to show what I’m looking for. f
  4. Hi there. Here's my very first 1/32 jet. Obviously for me, it had to be a Hornet. I chose the markings (or actually an approximation of) VMFA(aw)-224 as it appeared during 2005 deployment to Al Asad in support of OIF. Built it out of the Night Attack boxing, which I hoped would include some decals I could use for the scheme. I knew I would have to do some masking or such for some markings - the unit designation and such, but hoped I could at least have the Bengal crest as decals. In the end, I had to design and print all the decals, save for some stencils near the tailhook and slime lights. That was another first for me. Finding any reference turned out to be a bit of a pain, since the Bengals operated a tiger striped jet since at least 2002. And it isn't the same one 😉 Actually, Academy decal sheet had the correct BuNo, but it was repainted sometime before the 2005 deployment. I've read somewhere it had its center barrel replaced. Based on few photos I had, of which there were only 3 from Al Asad I traced the stripes onto my model. The rest - most signifcant - topside, was guesstimated based on the Academy paint callout and some pics. So much for accuracy. I used strictly model master and pactra paints. The only aftermarket I used were Legend seats, SAC landing gear and D-mold intakes, coupled with a pair of gbu-12's from Eduard. The seats were a must since in the box there are SJU-5/6's not the SJU-17's. SAC gear I had to use, since I broke the strengthening rod in the mlg. Intakes just looked nice, big plus for the perfect fit on the two part resin intakes. Gbu's were used, since that's what the jet carried usually. The Litening pod was from a 1/32 Sufa I hoped to build as a Polish AF F-16D. I've sold it since though. Not enough shelf space and such, though this has changed since then. All in all, a lovelly kit. Enjoyed every minute of it. If I were to do it again I would jump right in. Just would paint the darn thing dark gray, and then mask the stripes. Here's a short WIP: Sorry for not so stellar pics, it's the best I could do with a phone. And it shoots way better photos than my camera. It doesn't help that, as a 1/72 scale guy I just don't have the proper backdrop. I was really looking forward to that cockpit. In the end I'm not 100% happy with it. Frankly, I thought, that since I mostly do 1/72's It'd be a breeze to paint up that huge pit. Ah well. I was wrong.

  7. Hello, I am new to this forum but not to website I've always admired everyone's work in amazement. I've always enjoyed model building as a child but through frustration and lack of patience I ended up giving it up and dreadfully missing it. Well almost 10 years later I am back and attempting my 1st build a 1/32 Academy F/A-18C Hornet. I need help finding anyone that makes or may sell aftermarket decals for USMC aircraft in 1/32 scale. I am not sure if this was discussed before but I really do need help. I need decals for VMFA-251 F/A-18C buno. 164871 stationed on the USS Theodore Roosevelt. Exactly like in the picture. Any and all help will be appreciated, Thank You Alvin

  9. Howdo, I have always had an interest in Italian military aircraft of WWII and have decided to look into some kits. To this end, what are the best, or rather most accurate, WWII miliary aircraft available in 1/32 (if any)? I've had a look at a few on-line reviews but they don't provide too much insight into accuracy. I see kits have been/are being produced by 21st Century, Craftworks, ID Models, Silver Wings, Pacific Coast, Special Hobby, and others? I'm not too bothered about minute details - they can be corrected, added or taken away. I'm more interested in those kits that have an overall accuracy for shape, dimensions, etc. Any input will of course be greatly appreciated Grazie molto Feisty
  10. Anyone here who knows/build it?.. It looks fine in first quick wiew 😊 What aftermarket should i get?
  11. The latest off my bench, the new Revell kit. There's some good things about this kit and some bad things, but overall I think it is slightly better than the Hasegawa model. Although, the major problem is the undercarriage, it is very weak and my tail wheel collapsed in a week. I wouldn't sit this model on a smooth surface or the gear might fail rather quickly. Markings were masked and painted on except the swastika, this aircraft had black roughly overpainted on the undersurface and the markings for night fighter operations with JG 300 Wilde Sau.

  13. Looking for at least an extra pair of 1/32 scale LGTR rounds that are found in the Trumpeter F/A-18E and F/A-18F kits. If you have the kit and are planning on loading it up with bombs and missiles, please help your leftover LGTRs find a good home! Parts are listed in the attached photo. I can compensate with a little cash, and I can certainly cover shipping. Thank you everyone in advance! Nick
  14. Hey guys, I am building su-27 1/32 from trumpeter. I also bought linden hill decals and want to build red 04, which visited Sweden and was newly painted before this visit. Copyrighted material removed (Admin) Edit: Removed was the link which was displayed directly as the picture...here the link again, not sure why would be a link copyrighted.. http://img.wp.scn.ru/camms/ar/652/pics/1_10.jpg Now linden hill has only side views for this scheme plus a top view for a standard scheme, which was completely different, so it's useless. I was not able to find anything that would give me a better idea about the scheme, Would there be somebody able to help me? Please? Thanks
  15. G'day All, I'm calling this one as of now done. It's my take on the aircraft "flung" off HMAS Sydney between July - October 1918. Built OOB and rigged with Ez-Line. It's my third WNW kit. I experienced a bit of trouble with the decals cracking but other than that, any other dramas were of my own making. Apologies for the picture quality....one day I'll learn to take better ones....and today isn't it! Devo P.S. Rigging that little bullet fairing in the 2nd last pic was.......interesting
  16. Hello, I am currently working on completely new panel displays for the 1/32 Monogram Apollo CSM. I just completed all displays and the astronaut couches and will continue with the tunnel, hatch and windows. These last parts will be less expensive simply because there are smaller. The displays come in 2 variants whether you want to keep the cutaway version or you want a complete display and no transparent CM. The intermediate space is a part you haev to add between the capsule and the heat shield to correct some dimension of the model. Until to-morrow there is a 10% reduction and no shipping from shapeways, so if you are interested the parts are here : https://www.shapeways.com/shops/spacemodels?section=1%2F32+Apollo+Command+Module&s=0

  21. Hi The engine mount of the airplane is shown here. Some improvements have been made to make the model more detailed. The carrier and the transport carriage have been scratched. Some pieces of the box model have been replaced and they have been made to scratch using aluminum to make the motor more real. a greeting https://youtu.be/qH4NLRAHfk4
  22. Greetings All I finally finished my Spitfire, part of a dual build with the Tamiya Mosquito, which i had posted on in-progress HERE. This kit was a joy to work with, but i must say that the decals were a little disappointing, they are too thick and cracked up when softener was applied. i hope you like it.
  23. Hello again. :) This F-15E model is something like 2 models in 1, so enjoy this photo session in its second mode - the "parked" mode! For more - here are the links with the "in-flight" photoshoot and the WIP topic. No loadouts this time, to reveal more of the view....
  24. This Bunker Buster (WIP topic) is finally ready! Quite a challenge - my first 1/32 scale model, 3rd transformable model (with moving parts), definitely heaviest model (about 1.5 kg), my first entirely built model here on this forum and in LSP... i`m just so happy with the result, so far, cause it`s not actually completely ready. This is how it looks unweathered. Still a major further weathering should take place, at some point. A big Thank You to everyone involved with either comments, tips & tricks, advices, critics, etc! About the kit - i built it almost OOB, with the following additional parts included: - GT Resin sets - antennas, a pod, vents, missile rails, shimmy dampener; - Custom-made masks from DN models; - Eduard`s etched masks for the stencils; - A myriad of leftover PE pieces from other builds; - Almost every single door is packed with wires and cables - i used mostly 2 sizes of wires; - Paper tape for reupholstering the seats and for the pilots` suits; - Indefinite amount and type of plastic and wood parts, magnets, metal rods and other components for the moving parts; Well, there are no lights in the model (except for the lights i plan to include in the display case), but here is what can move/attach/or detach to allow a transformation between 2 general modes - flying and parked. I`m starting from the nose to the nozzles, by watching the model and trying not to miss something... * Openable nose cone; * The radar dish rotates and turns; * Openable canopy; * Retractable nose landing gear with a tire that rotates and openable doors; * 5 openable avionics nose bays; * Moveable intake ramps - all of them, including the diffuser ramps; * Openable bleed air exhaust ramps behind the intake ramps; * Openable gun bay door; * Moveable speedbrake; * Interchangeable weapons for the underwing pylons; * Retractable MLGs with tires that rotate and openable doors; * Moveable ailerons; I plan a serries of photoshoots. Here is the first one as it is right now - unweathered. In in-flight mode, with the 2 Bunker Busters as loadout, daytime pics. Hope you like it! Cheerz!
  25. Hello partners Model F / A-18C Hornet, scale model 1/32 scale Academy. The model is on a surface that simulates the deck of an aircraft carrier. A greeting and I hope you like it
