Hi all, I'm in the process of starting a 1:48 Hasegawa F-16D that I picked up last weekend; I'm wanting to build a jet that I've seen in person, namely F-16D Block 30B 85-1572 (ironically the subject of the kit boxart and decals, just "a few" years before I saw it). I'm still in the process of doing research, but one thing that showed up right away that I'll need to address is the pylons on the wings. The kit comes with the original style pylons, but when I saw it, they had been replaced by LAU-129s on the wingtips and outer pylons, and the center pylons included in the kit don't look much lik

If I had to build only one kit for the rest of my life it would probably be the Eduard Hellcat. This is my third or fourth but I will keep building them. I have not built a night attack version however so I decided that was the way to go. I bought the weekend edition and then robbed a few parts from other boxings in the stash. I also got some metal gun barrels and a resin drop tank from Quickboost. But I wanted to use the occasion to try some new weathering techniques. Hi all! I am back once again with my latest completed project, the 1/48 Tamiya F-16C "Blizzard" Aggressor. This is my first time building the 1/48 Tamiya F-16, and it is indeed very nice as, although not quite on the level of their new F-14A, but close. This is built from the Aggressor boxing and is a Block 32 Viper. I used some aftermarket on this one, including my first full resin cockpit (Aires). I was a bit worried about making it fit, as I have heard horror stories about Aires pits and fitting them. But this must have been one of their better efforts as it was

Hi all! I am back to share my latest completed project, the 1/48 Hasegawa F-4G Wild Weasel from the original P4 boxing in 1984. I bought this kit from this site for very cheap, but it was already started though... the forward fuselage was brush painted and the cockpit had been partially painted. the intakes had been glued, then ripped apart apparently... so I had a little extra work to do when I got started. Morning, So I built the Kinetic F/A-18C, and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed this kit. As I noticed some very nice differences from their competitors, but also found some issues as well. But the issues are minor and enjoyed the kit and it's challenges with open arms. This version avail in the box is the Sukhoi 20, although I have not noticed the absent bird slicers from the real pics until it was too late. So there are mistakes as this was my first F/A-18C build.This kit I used as to see what I need to improve on for my Canadian Hornets and I also used this kit for a few experimental

I decided to take on this 1/48 scale P-51D to basically use it as a test subject for his bigger brother build in the 1/32 scale Tamiya P-51D. You can check out that build thread here. I wanted to try out a couple new techniques and I figure why not test it out on a $30 kit rather than a $100 kit. Now, this isn’t an exciting first post to start an In-Progress thread, but here we go. I started out with the wings and bringing them up to snuff with the laminar airfoil technology. Hello, Here's my just finished 1/48 RF-84F. It's the Tanmodel kit, and I used Caracal Decals to do it as one from the 38th TRS, 10th TRW, based at Spangdahlem AB in West Germany between 1955 and 1958. This is part of a little project of mine to build all the different planes and units that were based at Spangdahlem at some point. This is the 5th build for that, after an F-4G, A-10A, F-15C and F-105F. The Tanmodel kit is a lovely model, in my opinion. The panel lines and rivets are a bit deep, and a little inconsistent, and the camera assembly in the nose is a bit tricky

Hi all! Here is my 1/48 AMK Kfir C7, from the Arava Guardians Squadron, circa 1990. I used Master Metal Pitot and Aires seat, and the decals were OOB. The decals were actually quite nice, I had no issues with them at all. The kit really fits nicely, and considering I just built the Tamiya Tomcat previously, saying that means something. It is not in the same league as the Tamiya Tomcat as far as fitment is concerned, but everything fit great except the nose assembly to the forward fuselage. There was a step on both sides that I had to deal with. I am very happy with h

It`s just about finished, only some final and polishing touches are remaining, and the Harrier should be absolutely ready soon. :) It comes to the Eduard`s Harrier in 1/48 and I finished with the assembly just about a week ago.
