  1. It`s just about finished, only some final and polishing touches are remaining, and the Harrier should be absolutely ready soon. :) It comes to the Eduard`s Harrier in 1/48 and I finished with the assembly just about a week ago. I do it in conjunction with Mitko and the ready model will be published on Mitko`s blog first (@DNmodels), along with the full assembly and a full build video. :)) Sounds nice, but it`s not ready yet. So check out his blog. And here is the trailer of the build. There are nearly 20 "things" that do something... rotate, turn, open... to make 3 transformable displays out o

  4. Hey everyone I have an original Revell (not the nicer/better Reboxed Monogram) F-14 Tomcat and its missing a Radome I actually tried to fit some other Radomes on it from other manufacturers, no luck.. The academy might work and since Steel Beach makes a resin replacement for the Academy Tomcat nose, I thought someone may have a spare original lying around they could help me with PM if you can help, will pay (but not much, this kit sucks) :) Thank you for looking
  5. Hello all, I'm currently working on the Airfix Lynx, and doing it as a German Navy Mk.88A. Lovely kit, for the most of it, but I'm a bit underwhelmed with the door gun, especially the barrel. It wasn't straight, and it doesn't have any detail at all. Does anyone have a good suggestion for a decent replacement for it? I believe the real thing is an M3M, but I'll take anything that looks like it. The kit barrel is 19mm long, if that helps. Thanks in advance.
  6. Looks like Airfix's next release after the Walrus will be a new P-51D. www.airfix.com%2Fuk-en%2Fnews%2Fworkbench%2Fnew-wwii-classic-in-148th-scale%2F&ref=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.network54.com%2FForum%2F149674&title=Plane Talking - HyperScale's Aircraft Scale Model Discussion Forum%3A Airfix Facebook page hinting that a new 1%2F48 P-51 to be announced. nt&txt=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.airfix.com%2Fuk-en%2Fnews%2Fworkbench%2Fnew-wwii-classic-in-148th-scale%2F
  7. Eduard's Danger Zone. Hobby boss side of the kit was surprisingly terrible with fit issues and whatnot all around. VF-1 decals from italeri, NO resin or PE used from Eduard, would be a waste on this kit...
  8. This kit was an Israel version from Academy, i got it in a cheap price without decals and all weapons, and decided to turn this kit as a E version. Jet itself: academy kit, wings and front fuselage fit poor, I rescribe some panel lines, and add rivets. Bombs and missiles: Kinetic parts, IMO Academy weapons and pods are better fit and detail than kinetic. Decals: Bestfong decals, the film is thin and adhesive is good, but due to different colors, have to add layer and layers for one pattern. Here comes pics, hope you en
  9. The new product presents full-open nozzles, as we can see on real aircraft shut down engines. The nozzles have correct scale diameter and fit 1/48 Hobby Boss Su-27 family. There are molded parts as is. The same parts painted to accent details. Nozzle on 1/48 Hobby Boss Su-27. The set willbe available in a week. http://amurreaver.ru/
  10. This was my entry to the Strike/Attack AC GB here on ARC. It was a nice kit with PE included. One thing i added was the antenna on the dorsal, everything else is OOB, there are more weapons going for the spares bin too. Air intakes were a bit problematic but Trumpy provided the fod covers so no fuss. Size of the jet was interesting tho, similar to a ww2 Zero probably, anyway enjoy the pix.
  11. Today I got some 1/48 resin LAU-128's in the mail for a future F-15E build. These are done by a relatively new company called Metallic Details. Out of curiosity, I measured the length of them, and compared it to the length given by the manufacturer here. It appears that the resin ones are about 6mm too short. That's 29 cm's in real life, or almost one foot. I compared them to some Wolfpack ones that I used on an F-15C last year, and those are only a wee bit longer. Am I missing something here, or did Metallic Details (and Wolfpack) really screw things up?
  12. F/S Two, 1/48 Boulton Paul Defiants MK.1 kits New Airfix kit #A05128 Box in nice shape and never opened. Classic Airframe # 95-404 3995 Complete and unstarted Comes with nice resin, decals and photo-etch details AND nicely yellowed vacuform canopies. Beautiful molded kits with recessed panel lines. Both kits complete and unstarted. 42.00 plus shipping takes both of them! Will not separate, must take both... I take PPal, M.O. or personal check contact licin(at)comcast(dot)net Thanks Max Bryant
  13. Hello all, this will be my entry to the GB. initially i was thinking of doing a 1/72 HB Bombcat but lately this A-37b came as a commission build, i thought it'd be a subject better suited for this GB Began the kit yesterday: After a day this is where i am at, fuselage is closed and mated with the wings: Fit wise OK, there are issues in the usual places like the inlets but nothing extraordinary so far. Cockpit will receive seatbelts, IP and it's coaming, than an oil wash to pop the details a bit more. Aircraft

  15. Hi all, Just finished this as my #13 in 2016. Hasegawa kit in 1/48 with FCM decal, built OOB with some scratchbuild parts. Hope you all like it.
  16. Hi, I'm looking for 1/48 gbu-38's by wolfpack or shull24, I know they are OOP but hoping to get lucky! If anyone has any I would be very interested in getting them. Thanks Greg
  17. It seems as though I cannot locate Trumpy's 1/48 Fencer at any vendor online. If someone sees one for sale our has one to part with please contact me. I may have other kits/update sets to use for trade as well. Thanks
  18. Guys, check out my unboxing review of the Harrier for the Mitko`s (DN MODELS) blog. Me and Mitko are trying to build something very extraordinary with this beautiful plane. Only the unboxing review is done so far. The kit turned out really pretty. My knowledge of the Harrier was very sparse, but I advanced quickly. It`s not a US plane - I plan to build the GR.9A version with the big red Lorraine Cross on the tail, but i like it pretty much too. Without WIP, and when is ready there should be a huge extensive WIP overview on the Mitko`s blog, and video, etc. Omg, i`m still quite excited :) Not s
  19. Hi, again! This use to be an Academy Su-27UB kit. Quite a bit of scratch building was involved to turn it into a Su-30, starting with the canards and the shoulders for them, the NeOmega cockpit had to be altered, MFDs were added, front IRST ball was moved to the right, the MAWS and Laser warning antennas(3 under the pit, 2 on the sides of air intake an the one on top of fuselage) specific to this craft were added and RWR antennas on the flaps and port rudder, also the rudders were extended and strengtheners added , the TVC nozzles modified to the dropped position, plumbing added in all th
