  10. Well, once again it's time for the year-end ritual of tallying up the builds. I have more completed than actually built this year, as I dug in and finished a couple from the Shelf Of Doom along the way. Some are unusual subjects or even conversions; some are almost out of the box. In some cases, I had to develop my own artwork, which I have included in the build threads for any who may be interested. And now, the ledger: First off, a Shelf of Doom completion, the Nostalgic Plastic resin rendition of Anigrand.'s 1/72 YF-102A prototype: This was done for a
  11. Looking for as many of these CBU shaped bombs that came/come with the Hasagawa 1/72 F-16A ? They may have come with some of the early C model kits as well. Hard part is going to be finding 24 of them. Hoping to use them for my B-52 project, so possibly some folks may have one or two in there parts box . Thanks for looking !
  12. Hey, does anyone happen to have the VF-9 decals for the Cyber Hobby 1/72 F6F Hellcat that they aren't going to use? I've been rolling along with 1/72 Hellcats and I would like to do at least one VF-9 airplane. As far as I know VF-9's F6F-3s have not been done on an aftermarket sheet. Cyber Hobby's kit with the flight deck has them. If someone happens to have them or knows of another source it would be a huge help. Thanks!
  13. Hello, Didn't think I'd be able to join in, but here I am after all. Just happens that I needed an early F-105F for my Wild Weasel collection, and since I was fortunate enough to find a sheet of 1/72 Wolfpak decals "Sambuster & Tyke", which has marking for Leo Thorsness Medal Of Honor mission of April 1967, here we go. References for this build are the downloadable instructions for the decal sheet, as well as the Scale Models issue from March of 1985, which describes the difference in sensors, etc. for the Vietnam F-105 Wild Weasel aircraft. First a pic
  14. Good Morning, I'm looking for two of the big cruciform winged GBU-15s from the Hasegawa 1/72 scale Weapons set II. It's the only thing that I'm interested in from the set, and I thought that because they are kind of wierd somebody might have them extra. Let me know if anybody has some that they are looking to get rid of, and I'll buy them off your hands. Cheers, and thanks! Hoops
  15. One last request for now ... Looking for a copy of the Testors 1/72 XR-7 Thunder Dart at a reasonable price ? Thank You for looking !

  17. Hi all, been a hot minute since I've last posted with my 1/72 orbiter (a slow and ongoing project but ongoing none the less!). After watching First Man on the biggest IMAX screen in Texas, and re-watching Apollo 13, and after going on a road trip that took me to the NASA centers in the southeast (Michoud, Stennis, Marshall, and Kennedy), I decided that I need a big Saturn V for the office. Short of going with one of those wooden 'executive' models, and overpaying for a discontinued Dragon kit, I think the only game in town is Apogee's 1/70 Saturn V. I've watched some of the instruc
  18. It has been a while since I've built a Tamiya kit and wow, how nice it is to put together a kit that REALLY FITS! So many pieces just go in place and some I had to really work to get apart so I could glue them in. Sweet! Here is the box shot: I've opted for the extra decals from Tamiya to do the very interesting aircraft of 2nd Lt Shunzo Takashima of the 244th Air Group. Also some Eduard Brassin but at this point I'm not sure I'll use the wheels. The kit wheels actually look pretty good as it. And the Brassin exhaust is not hollow so I'll take a closer look with th

  22. My second build A Revell packed Monogram, btw has anyone seen the movie? by Jan H, auf Flickr by Jan H, auf Flickr Also this look a bit simple and I know there are some issues with the shape of the fuselage. I've got two and one was in an unsellable plastic bag w/o decals so I better build it then. 24. Hello dear modelers, I've just built this premiere kit recently released by Airfix: Giovanni is me while Francesco is my 8 years nephew. He helped me a lot building it. I.e. he did the aluminium color aerography. The model was a present I gave him some time ago. The kit was built OOB in four days and actually just misses the pitot. Must say I love Airfix that offer us a kit of such a striking subject for a price of about 11 Eur. Here some pictures:
