Got back into modeling recently after a 20 year break. Mostly building modern fighter jets in 1/32 scale. I’ve enjoyed learning to use an airbrush and practicing all kinds of weathering techniques. I’m about to start weathering a USN F/A-18. I had some success weathering along panel lines with slight hints of burnt umber and mineral spirits on the F-4 I just completed. My question is: If I do that on this F-18 and wait for it to fully dry, can I then come back and do some more oil stippling and color filtering on different panels without affecting the first dried layer? Hello fellow modellers and happy new year! I am a new member in ARC and this is my first submission. It is the F-104C from Italeri in 1:72 scale which must be the old Esci kit. Despite its age it has delicate recessed panel lines and a Hasegawa-like feeling. It’s made out of the box with the only modification the replacing of the generic ejection seat with a resin one from Aires. The rocket launchers are from the Heuy kit from Hobbyboss. I also changed the wing tanks with the ones from the Hasegawa kit because the Italeri ones look very slim. The colours are from the Gunze Mr Hobby range
