Hi, I’m looking for tailcode decals or paint masks for my 1/48 F-4E. The decals I have for a Soesterberg 32nd TFS USAFE bird are way too dark. Of course I can cut my own masks from kabuki tape, using the decals as a guide, but pre-cut masks or decals will probably be somewhat more straight… Are there any manufacturers who sell such a product? photo by Henk Scharringa.

Hello All! Could any of you Phantom Phanatics help me figure out which 1/48 kit would be best for building an accurate F-4D from RAF Lakenheath? I will be using Xtradecals markings for F-4D-29-MC Serial 66-7502, circa 1974-1977. Photo below for reference. I'm assuming the decision will come down to either the Academy or Zoukei-Mura 1/48 F-4D kits, but I know almost nothing about F-4s, so I would appreciate the advice! Thanks in advance!

A long time ago I was a weather observer in the AF stationed at Wright-Patterson AFB. The weather station was located in the Base Operations building and my job required me to go out to the flightline to see what the weather was doing occasionally. Right outside the building was all these pristine Phantoms sitting on the ramp in the in the sun. Anyway the experience made me especially fond of the 906TFG and also the 178TFG at Springfield MAP just a few minutes away as we were assigned to provide them with weather support so I would be out there every other month. Well here comes Speed Hunt
