  1. Hi everyone! Back again after taking another break from building for awhile... So here is my latest completed project, the 1/48 Hasegawa F/A-18C Hornet in VFA-86 Sidewinders CAG markings circa 2006. I was drawn to the large orange diamond on the spine, much like the old A-7s of the same squadron in the late 70s, so I knew I had to build my first Legacy Hornet in those markings. Soon I will build a Corsair in the same "diamond spine" style markings. The decals I used are from Afterburner Decals "Snakes on a Plane" sheet. These performed flawlessly like usual. The ki
  2. I recently got this kit as a started one that was missing pieces. I was able to go thru my spares and find all I needed except the following: A10 (intake-see picture) MA #1,2,7,9,10 (PE fret-see picture) I'll be happy to take them used, painted, whatever you got and will pay for your time and parts. Thanks a bunch! Later, Lee
  3. Little late getting this posted but looking at another large Hasegawa bird this week, with their 1/32nd scale N1K2-J in markings for the series Shidenkai no Maki.
  4. This was a pretty tough build for a Hasegawa kit. I opted to build it with the wing down and droops & ailerons up since the whopping majority of photos of parked F-8s show it in that configuration, but it wasn't easy getting rid of all the gaps that presented. Then there was the infamous problem of posing the canopy open. It's clear Hasegawa intended for the wing to be up and the canopy to be down, but I just had to be contrary. To make matter worse, the kit decals shattered when they hit the water. I managed to salvage them by spraying the sheet with Future, but that made them tend to cur

  11. Hello friends Although the scale 1/72 does not usually work, with this model I had no choice because of lack of space thanks to its actual size. This German mortar attracted my attention when I saw it and I decided to do it. The hasegawa kit comes quite well and its size could be worth it. https://youtu.be/FKrT3_sobfY Greetings and I hope you like it

  13. Apologize for having only one pic per post, cuz i'm having problems with my photobucket account.... This is my latest build. F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is so popular that I decided to build it with an alternative way. That's the very reason i put it up on a brass rod, and have its landing gears modified as without ground load. Hope you enjoy it...
  14. Good morning to all! I'm glad to present my last work... a restoration of an old Hasegawa A-4 that I built ten years ago. I decided to put it back to workbench due to the "crack" of the fuselage: 21616109_10210113589216277_2086911637920727775_n by valerio, su Flickr While I was at it, I scratchbuilt a new UHF dorsal hump (the one in the Hasegawa kit is wrong in dimensions and shape) using the cutting plotter: A-4SU Restoration_11 by valerio, su Flickr A-4SU Restoration_10 by valerio, su Flickr There was other details to fi
  15. I looked around and found Dream Model in 1/48th but they are similar to Eduard's set and only have the early block small screen config for the IP. Any leads most appreciated... Cheers
  16. I recently got this kit #SP172 and it’s missing the canopy (parts K2 and K3) and the prop spinner (part A9). If you have these pieces please let me know. Thank you! Later, Lee

  18. Straight from the box, the Hasegawa kit is still a nice little model, even 20 years after it first came out. It would have been nice if the canopy could be posed open, but the fit of the individual parts is excellent.
  19. Good friends Here I bring you one of my first dioramas that I made several years ago. The main model is the F-16C Fighter Fighting Falcon which is being reviewed by operators. The whole set is made to 1/48 scale of the Hasegawa brand. To make this representation I wanted to include a set of missiles and another of track technicians. https://youtu.be/i0uWAmTss2c Greetings and I hope you like it
  20. Looking at another large scale kit this week with Hasegawa's KI61-1 Tony in 1/32nd scale with marking for the series Shidenkai no Maki.

  25. While waiting for some parts for the Sukhoi and to take some pauses from it too, I decided to tackle a fast, straight forward build. I've been wanting to build this jet since I really love colorful schemes and with this one I'm pretty much served! I think most of you know the kit itself so on to the pics The box art The decals Hasegawa gives you the option to paint the red parts or use the whole decal, so you can actually build two models out of this sheet, I went for painting the red parts The build, as I said, is st
