Hello, This is a model I have build several year ago. I really like this helicopter but I had trouble with the clear part. Indeed, the Matchbox/Revell kit includes clear parts, but the edges of these pieces are too seeable and you will notice a specific shade of color at the link between the clear parts and the classic plastic parts. I found that disgracious and I feel like looking at a toy if I have this on a kit ... So I have postponed my build for several years until I have found a solution to this issue (the solution could have been a kit in clear plastic as it is the case for

Hi gents, I was browsing internet archives for pics of Gulf war helos and started to update my pages and research the H-46 more. Thanks to a fellow modeller, Dutch, for pointing me to the fact that CH-46Es had TWO different sponsons during the service time (they had the old "short" sponsons in Gulf). Also, they used metal and fiberglass rotor blades. So, I was able to find info, pics, instructions of kits in 1:72 and 1:48 scale. I did write a table with info and facts etc. Here is the conclusion: 1:72 scale: you are out of luck, as N

I saw a MH53-E fly over me when I was in holiday in Florida last year and thought I would love to build one. Managed to get close and a take a couple of pictures, she was quite a dirty beast so I have tried to show here as I saw her. So again this one is straight out of the box with no extras, but I did have a problem with the rotor head and you can see in the pictures! She also has the framework in place for towing (I think) the mine clearing sled. Look forward to your comments

Hello fellows! I have a CH-47D 1/35 scale, Id like to ask the following question. Can I put an adhoc M240 or minigun mounts on the windows and doors or is that only configuration only for MH-47? Does all the CH-47 sports no guns at all? thanks a lot! Iking

alright guys, I'm an engineer at Sikorsky and wanted a few accurate models for my desk....more specifically, a UH-60 and a CH-53E because those are the two aircraft I've spent most of my career on (really the UH-60M and CH-53K but I'm looking for closest variants). The selection of pre-built models is pretty crappy (wood, plastic, etc) and so is the accuracy so I decided to build some. So I wanted to build an H-60 and a 53e. I picked up a 1/72 italeri UH-60 Night Raid at my local hobby store and that was the first adventure. I then took to these forums to find a 1/72 Italeri CH

Hi, this is the Dragon 1/144 SH-60B I started this year for the arc helicopter groupbuild. In may I broke my left elbow so I wasn't able to finish it in time. I like folded NAVY helicopters so I used the Brengun pe set to make this little helicopter even a little bit smaller. Some other changes were: - detailing the rotorhead - scratchbuilding holders for the rotorblades - adding a number of antennas, including the wire antenna on the right side - lower the gear - rearanging the interior - etc.

I'm thinking of trying to pick up Quick boost's OH-6A conversion. I saw (somewhere) that the Academy kit is recommended. If the Academy and Hasegawa kits are essentially the same plastic then I'll probably pick up whichever is cheaper. For some reason the Minicraft/Hasegawa releases seem to go cheaper. I remember building both of the earlier Hasegawa releases back when they first came out and I remember them as being pretty basic kits that went together pretty well. TIA

Hi all, Just discovered this fantastic forum. Have been a scale modeler for the past 45 years and just venturing into using 3D modelling and printing to do things I could only have imagined a few years ago. My current project is a 1:8 scale Eurocopter EC665 and I'm wanting to ask if anyone has a 3d model file they could share for the Thales Top Owl helmet as used by the crews? Thanks in advance!
