Something a little different and not quite out of the box. I took Revell's (Monogram?) A-6E, Steel Beach KA-6D conversion, Quinta KA-6D 3D decals for the cockpit and AOA Decals to create a KA-6D Intruder. The Steel Beach kit was designed for the Kinetic kit but it worked fine with the Revell kit. I used AOA Decals 48-006 to model a KA-6D from VA-196 Main Battery from the 1972-73 time period. Hope you like it. Thanks for looking Geoff M

Howdy. Gonna try doing a in progress post for this build. Recently moved back to 1/48 (from 1/32) Jets - traded most of the 1/32 away for 1/48 but this particular kit has been in the back of my stash for years - pretty sure I got it right when released maybe around 2012? Anyway I have a ton of aftermarket for it: Dmold intakes Wolfpack seats and wheel wells Profimodeler pitot Master refueling probe Hypersonic exhausts Eduard various sets and wheels GFactor brass gear (for the Revell kit but it looks maybe more detailed than the Kinetic plas

OK, this time something different. 1/144 Dragon A-6E with Retro Wings cockpit set and PaulusVictor decals. This kit is a nasty dog. In the box - it looks like 3.6 ...not great, not terrible. Unfortunately it is more terrible than great when you start it. Fit is very bad, and there is a lot of details missing. I tried to add some that are really visible. The most important is small hump behind the canopy... Some small intakes too. There is a lot of sink marks in the plastic, and many missing panel lines that needs to be rescribed. I will try to make decent wing fold. I used Tamiya E

Another 1/32 A-6 Intruder release coming, actually two releases. Sheets 32-023 & 32-024 will only cover one squadron - VA-65 Tigers but spans 25 years of their aircraft, starting with their Vietnam War deployments (including the early camo test scheme and the ill-fated 1967 Forrestal cruise), then into the mid 70s period with their more well known schemes, and the beginning of low viz in the early 80s, and ending at Desert Storm. Part 1, 32-023, will cover the six high viz period schemes and includes full stencils for one aircraft (additional stencils are available separately with previous

Cheers folks, I'd like to show you a few photos of my 1/32nd scale EA-6B Prowler, a scratchbuilt conversion based on Trumpeter's A-6A kit. This conversion required the whole bunch of techniques I have access to - CNC milling, laser cutting, 3D printing and classic scratchbuilding. The decal artwork was drawn by me and then silk printed in Czech Republic. I am currently working on a carrier deck diorama , USS Kitty Hawk's port stern section to be precise; this is the area at least one Prowler was typically parked. The Birdcage was fully scratchbuilt as it has
