I build models for the exciting project : Hawker Typhoon Preservation Group who are restoring a genuine and what will be the world's only flying Typhoon MKIB. There's been a bit of a rush on lately with customers wanting a quarter scale model of the Typhoon! So I have ended up building four at once! Three mar2ked as the actual airframe 'RB396 although they wanted invasion stripes on her which she never had: therefore there is some artistic licence going on!; and the fourth one is the aircraft that first trialed the use of Napalm bombs in the UK which was flown by Davi

I have now got both of the existing 1/72 scale kits - the new one from Trumpeter (2017 release) - and the old one from Italeri (released in 1995) - so I thought I'd do a comparison.... these are just my personal opinions BTW..... The Trumpeter kit is typical from them - excellent packaging, crisp moulding and loads of weaponry and very expensive - but also some shape errors. It also represents the latest configuration - whereas the Italeri kit is of a Su-34 from about 20 years ago... Trumpeters excellent box art....... ...

Hi all, working wit a lot of French Air Force colleaugues, I'm starting to consider the possibility to have a Mirage 2000N in my showcase. And I would prefer the Italeri/Kinetic kit, rather than the old Heller/Eduard. Is it possible? What are the requested modifications and aftermaket accessiories available, especially as decals? ...my preference goes for an operational bird, more than for a special scheme. Many thanks!

I just received the new injection molded Italeri 1 48th H-21C Shawnee. The kit is superlative, the detail is very nice and even includes cabin and radial engine detail. The kit decals feature markings for U.S. Army, Air Force & Marines versions, as well as a French version. There is even a p.e. fret that offers seat belts and screens for the engine compartment. Overall a very nice kit, which renders the F.M. and Special Hobby releases of this same helo redundant imo. Pictures to follow after the holiday.

Nice kit with recessed panel lines despite it's age. A/C is French AF from it's time at Djibouti.
