I am a complete F-86 fanatic, at least regarding the airplane itself, but I don't know much about the available kits. Some time ago, I bought what Eduard was calling 'The Ultimate Sabre' in 1/48, which used Hasegawa plastic, and added some Eduard bits. I have yet to build that airplane, but my impression is that the Hasegawa plastic wasn't viewed by many as being particularly cutting edge, that is, not very good, and ultimately meaning that this Sabre probably builds into a decent F-86, if not a 'good' one, when you include the Eduard goodies.
