Hi guys, just a quick notice that two update sets for the Kitty Hawk FJ-2 Fury kit are now available from Hypersonic Models and in a short while also from my partner retailers. While there is frustratingly still no air mail from Japan to the US (and surface mail and courier options prohibitively expensive) there is some good news though: Victory Models will carry my line, probably in stock from late September/early October.

Hi all, I'm currently working on my KH 1:48 AH-1Z, and am in the process of adding some detail to it - I've never liked having open photoetched screens with nothing behind them, and on the Cobra, there are a couple that are particularly obvious, because you can see daylight through them. As such, I want to avoid having an empty hole on my model, so I'm looking for photos of what's behind these particular grates: I don't necessarily need extreme detail, but I'd like to at least get an idea of what's behind them, particularly the general location of the structure inside (e.g. is it a

So on Facebook tonight I see Kitty Hawk has announced a 1/48 UH-1N in dark blue US Navy markings. Obviously will be based on their UH-1H right? New dog house and new fuselage halves. ot sure what else would be required, well cockpit obviously. Will be good to have so I can use it for my Canadian Twin Huey and not have to work with the Italeri kit which I have been struggling with for the last few years and probably why it sits on the shelf of despair.

Been a while since I posted here. But this kit seems so controversial, I thought I would post it up for you all to see. After all that’s been said about this kit, I’m going to nail my colours to the mast and say I like it, and enjoyed building it. It’s not a perfect kit and needs some modelling input to get it right. But I enjoy that sort of thing. For me it’s not so much about the destination, but the journey there. There’s a lot of aftermarket in the finished kit. Eduard internal, and external etched sets. Master Barrels pitots, static wick discharges and cannon bar

Here is my latest the Kitty Hawk AH-6J. Mostly out of the box. It has the Werner’s Wings downturned exhausts which will be available shortly. I did scratch build the ammo chute attachment points. I also used the sail antenna from a Dragon kit. It will eventually get a FLIR and mount. Decals were sourced from Werner’s Wings and AOA Decals. Werner’s Wings is trying to put together a Gothic Serpent decal sheet since we have new information, especially on the Little Birds, like the exhaust and the black markings. We are also working on the FLIR and mount, as well as, an update

Hi all! I present to you my latest project, the 1/48 Kitty Hawk Su-35S Flanker-E, "Red 08" in the unique Eggplant Dark Gray scheme of the Russian Air Force, circa 2014. This is really a great kit that has excellent fit almost everywhere, with the wing joins being the notable exception. The kit is not without other issues, however. The exhaust nozzles are molded in the straight position which would only be correct for a powered up machine, not drooped at rest. The stinger tail has flare boxes on the top, which is only correct for the prototypes and early production ai

Hi all! So I have been working on the new Kitty Hawk Su-35S and thought I would share my build experience here since I have not seen any others being built elsewhere. I know the GWH Su-35 is coming, but this really looks like a nice kit, and is correct for the version I want to build. I will be getting a GWH Su-35 though, it looks really awesome too, and build a Syrian service jet some day. I plan on doing the Eggplant first production batch, so this kit is correct with the stinger configuration. I am also using the A.M.U.R. Reaver exhaust nozzles, which are fantasti

Hi all, back again! I just wanted to share my latest completed project, the much maligned Kitty Hawk Su-17/22 Fitter. The boxing is for Su-17M3/M4, but as I understand it, the Su-22M4 is externally identical to the Su-17M4 so that a 22M4 can be built from this box. So I chose to build the new Polish Air Force gray camouflage scheme Su-22M4 Fitter-K. I am sure by now you have heard much about this kit. But this is what I can tell you, from my experience... The engineering leaves one to scratch their head often. Lots of sprue gates in poor locations, 6 piece fuselage, and of cou
