Hi everyone! As painting is impossible in my modeling room currently (30 Celsius in the evenings nowadays), I set aside my Phantom project for a while and restarted an older project - Italeri Super Hornet. Many people wrote reviews about this kit's flaws and inaccuracies so I won't go into the details. We know this is not a Hasegawa offering, period. I decided to spice it up with scratchbuilding some details. Planned things: cockpit and canopy details, gun/radar bay, opened nose cone and extended radar equipment, avionics bays, folded wings wing and dropped flaps. I started this model years

Has any decal maker ever done decals for this particular color scheme? I'm in interested in the big colorful hornet on the vertical stab.

Hi, I've been searching for a perfect SJU-17 ejection seat for my upcoming 1/48 Hasegawa Super Hornet project so I checked my stash and also bought few more seats of other brands. What I noticed is that there is a significant variation in size and shape among these seats. I know that some of them are dedicated for Tamiya F-14 and other for Hasegawa Super Bug but still... I think it might be i

Morning! I have the 1:48 Revell F/A-18E and I am using the CAG decals and paint scheme from VF-14 that came with the kit. The Vertical Stabilizers on that scheme are black. So I painted them accordingly. I am now at the decal stage and am wondering what to do looking forward... I planned on using my black Tamiya wash on everything (navy gray scheme paint job on the bird), but then I have the black vertical stabs. Do I use the gray wash on them? I feel like: 1) gray wash doesn't actually work well (maybe I just need to stir/shake up the enamel wash better) 2) it wou

Decided to go with Academy's new FA-18F Super Hornet (new tooling). Going to build this as an air to air specific interceptor with all air to air missiles (6-8 Aim-120C/D and 2x AIM-9X). Weapons spread will be 2x Sidewinders on wingtips, 2x AMRAAMS each on two underwing dual LAU 115 launchers, and two AMRAAMS on single LAU 127 launchers. May put another 2x AMRAAMS on additional single LAU 127s on each wing for 8 AMRAAMS total (less realistic build). Using the Hasegawa Weapons 5 kit for most of the AIM-120s and the LAUs. I do have the option of using the Attack Squadron ones I purchased, but I

Looking for at least an extra pair of 1/32 scale LGTR rounds that are found in the Trumpeter F/A-18E and F/A-18F kits. If you have the kit and are planning on loading it up with bombs and missiles, please help your leftover LGTRs find a good home! Parts are listed in the attached photo. I can compensate with a little cash, and I can certainly cover shipping. Thank you everyone in advance! Nick
