  1. Hello friends The Tiger I was the first tank to be equipped with an 88mm cannon which proved to be formidable on all battle fronts. I had to have it in my collection, from the Tamiya brand at 1/35 scale. Greetings and I hope you like it https://youtu.be/dkT7Twk7v7s

    Tiger I

Hello folks this is Tamiya's early Tiger I in 1/35 with a RB model alu barrel, tamiya pe grills and a couple of accessories thrown in. There were a lot of ref shots of this exact vehicle (s.pz.abt.503 332 from east front) so wx and battle damage were done iaw them as much as i could. Finished it about a month ago actually but at the time ARC had forum issues so i am posting it now. Enjoy
  3. Hello friends I set out to show you one of the most beautiful motorcycles in history. Logically it had to be Italian, it's the Ducati 916. Its aesthetics marked with a multi-tubular chassis, a mono arm swingarm and double exhaust outlet under the tail was a novelty in its release to the market. The model is Tamiya brand 1/12 scale, is detailed inside because its fairing is removable. https://youtu.be/2HoNIGQRWxM Greetings and I hope you like it
  4. built these two a while ago. I have always been fascinated with the captured aircraft markings from WWII. The Messershpit is the Tamiya MkVb with fusion resin conversion set which I have to say is superb and caused me very few issues. I also added a Yahu instrument panel and Eduard harness. Painted using Vallejo in the 'alternstive' scheme to the main stream thinking, but has a strong possibility of being correct in terms of the blue underside. The BF 109 is an OOB from Airfix club edition. Again lovley set!
  5. I have the following kits for sale from Abilene, TX (79606). Since this is a purge, I am not interested in any trades other than a WingNut Wings Roland D.VIa (32022). All of my kits have all of the parts still attached to the sprues unless otherwise noted. I can accept money order or PayPal...'friends and family' is always appreciated but not required. HASEGAWA 1/32 N1K2-J Shiden-Kai "late" sealed (George) -- $42 REVELL 1/32 Hawker Hunter FGA Mk.9 -- $22 TRUMPETER 1/32 MiG-23MF Flogger B -- $82 EDUARD 1/48 MiG-21PFM -- $40

  7. just setting here with a dozen kit boxes beside me. One caught my eyes as the box art on the side was nearly identical to the Revell F51d built by IPMS Sweden. Well I Picked up the 1/48th scale Tamiya kit (a very nice kit by the way), and thought maybe it was an option. No it wasn't! Yet Tamiya shows it on the box. So I checked out the decals to see if they were in the box. It looks like Lou IV is all there, but not for the right airframe as depicted in the box. Strange!!! gary
  8. This Bunker Buster (WIP topic) is finally ready! Quite a challenge - my first 1/32 scale model, 3rd transformable model (with moving parts), definitely heaviest model (about 1.5 kg), my first entirely built model here on this forum and in LSP... i`m just so happy with the result, so far, cause it`s not actually completely ready. This is how it looks unweathered. Still a major further weathering should take place, at some point. A big Thank You to everyone involved with either comments, tips & tricks, advices, critics, etc! About the kit - i built it almost OOB, with the following additiona
  9. Hello partners Here I show you a set of models that belonged to the German military force sent to North Africa. There are 4 different brands of models, trumpeter, tamiya, italeri and airfix. A greeting friends
  10. Greetings All I finally finished my Spitfire, part of a dual build with the Tamiya Mosquito, which i had posted on in-progress HERE. This kit was a joy to work with, but i must say that the decals were a little disappointing, they are too thick and cracked up when softener was applied. i hope you like it.
  11. Hi, I finally found time away from resin to complete this build of one of my favorite color schemes, not to mention the story of the one kill VF-111 scored during the Vietnam War. The build comprises the following with many scratch built parts, pattern creations used to create resin parts, and some top flight accessories from the community vendors. Items Used: Tamiya 1/32 F-4J kit GT Resin F-4B/N Conversion Set GT Resin Intakes and exhaust GT Resin Sparrow Missiles Zacto Model Sidewinder Missiles Master AOA and pitot tubes
  12. Hey guys, My mind started wandering down the road of buying an airbrush and compressor, but they stretch beyond my budget. Does anyone know the barebones of how much one may cost for an absolute noob at them like myself? Or what parts I could go looking for to buy? I've been loving reading through your tips and tricks, particularly on washes and on laying down a gloss clear surface layer before decals and then a matte-finish layer afterwards. Weathering and a flat finish look incredible on the builds I have seen on here so far, particularly the 'Nam era phantoms and F-105's.
  13. I am looking for the 1/32 Tamiya Thunderbirds NSI intake parts, these are sprues P/Q (part#9116024). You'll get a very fast paypal payment (...including the shipment cost to sunny Greece!) Thanking you in advance
  14. Hello folks this is Tamiya's stug3b built oob. usual tamiya, built was a breeze, working suspension was a real nice touch but of course the vinyl tracks are letting down. anyway the model isn't mine and i was asked not to do any kind of weathering, tho there is still panel fading, drybrushing and pinwashes. enjoy.
  15. Hello all, These are my hornets I've been slowly working on lately. Im new to the scene and would appreciate any feedback or tips on how I can improve as an aircraft modeller. let me know what you think. thanks.

    Leopard 2a5

Finally calling her done. Build complete entirely OOB. If i am to build this fella again aftermarket items this one could really benefit are (in no order): stowage baskets, tow cables, tracks.
  17. I was gifted the older Tamiya kit #35144 and it is complete save for the outer cab parts C7,8,11,12,13,20 and 22. I think that the cab from the Dragoon kit #6542 would work in a pinch. If you have these parts in any condition please let me know and thank you! Later, Lee
  18. This is Tamiya's Leo2a5 will be finished as a Bundeswehr mbt in the usual 3 tone natoflage. It took about 3 nights to get to this stage as you can see the hull required putty (gunze dissolved) and sanding. Surface feels smooth enough despite the appearance, we'll see how i fared with the surface finish after a good coat of primer of course. Except a couple of details like the spare tracks/grousers on the glacis and the axles the hull is complete. I'll move on to the turret now.
  19. Hi all! I am back once again with my latest completed project, the 1/48 Tamiya F-16C "Blizzard" Aggressor. This is my first time building the 1/48 Tamiya F-16, and it is indeed very nice as, although not quite on the level of their new F-14A, but close. This is built from the Aggressor boxing and is a Block 32 Viper. I used some aftermarket on this one, including my first full resin cockpit (Aires). I was a bit worried about making it fit, as I have heard horror stories about Aires pits and fitting them. But this must have been one of their better efforts as it was
  20. Hey everyone, Im new here. Just joined today :) So nice to be here among all of you awesome modelers. Thanks for this great forum. Just recently I finished Tamiya's amazing F-16 in 1/48. This would be my 3rd plane I've ever done. My experience is mostly with armor, so this was definitely a lot of fun and learning experience. Enjoy my friends

  22. Taking a look at another Girls und Panzer kit this week with Fine Molds boxing of Tamiya's 1/35th scale M4 Sherman 75mm kit.
  23. I decided to take on this 1/48 scale P-51D to basically use it as a test subject for his bigger brother build in the 1/32 scale Tamiya P-51D. You can check out that build thread here. I wanted to try out a couple new techniques and I figure why not test it out on a $30 kit rather than a $100 kit. Now, this isn’t an exciting first post to start an In-Progress thread, but here we go. I started out with the wings and bringing them up to snuff with the laminar airfoil technology. Many P-51 experts have probably seen this diagram by J.R. Heilig that shows the panel line
