Good day folks, My second post after a long long time in lurk mode. Kit is a Tamiya 1/48 f-16cj. Constructing the basic block 50 of one of the birds in Misawa. Has been done by people before me by the hundreds, but here is another. This first post of the WIP is some pics I documented up until now. The aircraft is waiting for further progress (ie. When the wifey takes a few days to do lady things with her friends). Off topic: she doesnt know I have an airbrush and compressor. Its hidden inside the bed on the side without the drawers. If shes here, no big paintwork.

Returning to armor kits this week as well as a special edition kit to boot. This week we are looking at Tamiya's rendition of the Panther Ausf.D in a special 50th anniversary boxing. -

It has been a while since I've built a Tamiya kit and wow, how nice it is to put together a kit that REALLY FITS! So many pieces just go in place and some I had to really work to get apart so I could glue them in. Sweet! Here is the box shot: I've opted for the extra decals from Tamiya to do the very interesting aircraft of 2nd Lt Shunzo Takashima of the 244th Air Group. Also some Eduard Brassin but at this point I'm not sure I'll use the wheels. The kit wheels actually look pretty good as it. And the Brassin exhaust is not hollow so I'll take a closer look with th

What's the closest shade of blue, made by Tamiya , in rattle cans. I have no airbrush and have a huge dislike for Testors only because I have used their spray paints and they take years to completely dry. In fact I have Testors BAB in my paint locker. Tamiya lacquers smell to high heavens but dry in minutes. Also what's the best after market 1/72 Blue Angels F/A-18C decals.Thanks---John

meh of a kit, built oob. it's a pretty recent molding, not the afrika corps pz.II from BC alas it's uninspiring at best unusual for a contemporary tamiya kit dunno why. anyway, enjoy.

Okay call me crazy but I picked up this Testors M3 Lee kit for a quick build. I need decals though for it (and have nothing in my spares that comes close) as it comes with no decals. I can use either option from the Tamiya kit or from the Takom or Academy kits. I just need something. ;) Happy to buy and/or reimburse shipping costs. Thanks, Lee
