  1. Well hello! 🍓 Let's build that beast! This is my second model in this scale and after the B-2 in 1/72 - everything in it looks ginormous. 🙂 I somehow found out after the B-2 that the bomber planes have a slightly different structure and shape from the jetfighters, and i liked it too.... in a different way, but still i like it a lot and that's how i decided to build the Nighthawk. This F-117 kit is giant. It has metal landing gear, PE intake screens, rubber tyres and canopy with thin flat sides - almost like windows with no blurs or distortion whatsoever, while the decals are only a few:
  2. This is the Chinese revision of the old Mig-19. Revision being to the nose - and consequently, moving the air intakes to the sides. Somehow, the nose job and side air intakes made the Nanchang look more like an aircraft rather than a gaping fish. P/s - I have since added my other Q5 in Olive paint.
  3. Hi everyone, Long-time no see! Hope everyone is well. Finally pulling the plug on this hobby as my health and eyes are shot to bits. I’ve been holding on to this A-7E kit and associated AM parts in the vague hope of getting better enough to complete it, but I don’t see that happening (excuse the pun 😊). Anyway, here’s the list. Prices are in Australian dollars and do not include shipping. Let me know your location and I'll get you an estimate based on the AusPost website. For anyone in Sydney who would like to pick up, I also have a s#1tload of various tools
  4. Exhuasts coming soon. These were made by modifying and adapting the exhausts Alexander made for the MiG-29M/K kit (also used for the Zactomodels Revell correction set). They are now full depth. I'm working on instruction the sheet and production molds and expect to release them soon.
  5. HELLO AND GREETINGS FROM ALGERIA ! 😀 I present to you my 1/48 Trumpeter Sukhoi Su-24 M, known as the copycat of the F-111. The Fencer is used by the Algerian Air Force since the '90's and had three or four overhauls since. Algerian Fencers had also upgrades; especially in their electronics. The kit was a little disapontement; It needed a lot of correction works , the exhaust part is wrongly built by Trumpeter. The kit was improved with the SU-24 Exterior PE made by Eduard, added a metal nose antenna from Master Model and some home made decals (cockpit dashboard, instruments, insign
  6. Hello Everyone. . . Just did a Trumpeter 1:48 scale MIG-27M Flogger J in the Indian Air Force colors. . . . the kit is a decent build but with a few flaws and is a tad bit inaccurate . . . Mostly Trumpeter is making the most of the common moulds . . . The kit is built OOB with added hydraulic lines and adequate modifications to represent the upgraded Mig-27 of the Indian Air Force. Paints used were locally available acrylics. Two glaring problems are the bulgy nose and the same main landing gear carried over from the other Mig-23 kits and not having
  7. Hello Everyone, The build is a MIG29SMT built into an Indian Air Force MIG29UPG taking off on a Wet Runway with Glowing Afterburners. The kit used is a Trumpeter MIG29SMT in 1/72 size. Most of the work done was on making the Flame look realistic enough. The flame is Clear Resin and is lit by using 2 White LEDs housed in the exhaust cans. The model is painted using the bare basic techniques of preshading and light coats of grey color to make this an IAF grey machine. Paints used were acrylics. This was a first trial run to make the Afterbu
  8. I'm building Trumpeter's 1/48 MIG-21UM and broke a canopy in half. I emailed "Joanna" at Trumpeter and received this cryptic response: I'm very sorry that due to the epidemic, flights to various countries are reduced, so the delivery of EMS express is very slow, and it needs to wait for 2-3 months. But you can choose to use fedex, but the cost requires you to pay the freight. What does that mean? How can I go about ordering the clear canopy sprue? How much will it cost? From whom can I order it? And how shall I pay for it? Has anyone else ever ordered replacement sprues from
  9. Hopefully I am doing this right... I have a few high end kits with the "BigEd" goodies. I would like them to go to a good home. I have a Trumpeter F-6F-3 (1/32) w/BigEd, Kinetic S2E (1/48) w/BigEd. I am a disabled veteran with bilateral Acoustic Neuroma (s). I will probably never get to them -let alone finish them. Anyone interested? Hopefully I posted this right! Of course I will include pics etc., But before I put a lot of effort into this, I wanted to check interest?!? Thanks all, take care of you and yours. -Tom 267-410-9164

  11. Hello friends, here I bring you the flagship of the Russian Navy, the aircraft carrier Kuznetsov. Final touches are made, planes and helicopters are placed on the deck, elevators are detailed and the roof is painted. The model is placed on a wooden base with water simulation. Greetings and I hope you like it
  12. Hello looking to acquire your spare afterburner can from your Trumpeter C kit (2838). The AB can I need is the bulbus type, not the smooth external type. The spare can is located on the sprue with the lower wing parts, I do not know the number on the sprue. The AB actually came off the F-102 engine and was used on F-100 D and F ANG aircraft only. So if you have the spare part in your box, or not planning to use...I will certainly help the environment and recycle this part. Thank you for looking!!
  13. hi everybody! this time i'm gonna break the rules and publish on this forum section rather than the "display case" which i deem to receive little attention in our forum. hope that i won't get a stick hit on my fingers... yeah, my guys, i have built the thud and with her i have completed my 1/72 "century series", which makes me, modestly, PROUD! the previous project, the super sabre, was a former step in this achievement, but the lack (!!!) of the warning red stripes on the decal sheet -i am waiting stripe decals to be delivered as aftermarket item- make her labeled as "incomplet
  14. Dear all, I am considering getting the Trumpeter 1/48 kit. Don´t know yet if it will be a C or D. I know, there is an issue with the intake, which is addressed by some AM companies. How good is the kit actually? Is it a) get a new intake, the rest is fine b) it has some issues (please tell me which) but builds into an accurate replica when corrected. c) get it only if you really need a 1/48 F-100 with recessed panel lines, otherwise go Monogram. There is a corrected tail fin for the C model and corrected 335gal drop tank noses. What ar
  15. Anyone here who knows/build it?.. It looks fine in first quick wiew 😊 What aftermarket should i get?
  16. I am missing both the decal sheets and canopies to my two kits. Just missing these things to complete them. If anyone has these items please let me know. I’d even gladly take canopies off an older built kit that is now spares. Thanks, Lee
  17. Dear all when the MiG-21F-13 from Trumpeter was released, there was a thread here about it´s accuracy issues, IIRC. Using the search reveals nothing for me. Maybe I´m using the wrong key words. Does anybody has it still linked, or created it and can post the link? Many thanks, Thomas
  18. Greetings, I am currently about to start work on Trumpeter's 72nd scale Mig-31BM, however there is a huge mis-mold on the inner front part of the canopy, as shown in the pictures below (linked from Britmodeller forums) Sanding and polishing seems like the obvious way, however since it's the inside and there is a lot of detail around, I was wondering if anyone knows a "safe" way or some trick to do it. Thanks
  19. Hello folks, this is Trumpy's Chinese Army Type89 120mm anti tank gun built oob. kit was almost ok until the very last moment where the vinyl band tracks were a good 1cm short, so i had to move both idler wheels back and strengthen first and last road wheels due to the vinyl being not elastic enough. Still a pleasant build, after going tru some ref shots from the interwebs i decided to ramp up the dust, believe me this is very much restricted versus the real life shots these behemots being covered almost entirely in wet mud somehow (concealment?!)... Enjoy.
  20. Just finished - the excellent Trumpeter Su-34 kit in 1/72 scale........ Trumpeter missed a few things - the curved fillet between the wing L/E and the ESM pod (when fitted)..... ... the Blind Flying curtains inside the cockpit..... .... and the APU exhaust outlet on top of the tailboom... Ken
  21. Hello friends, the engine is completely painted and finished in its support on the transport car. This has been a very entertaining work because of the amount of pieces made to scratch and all the information gathered to make the model as real as possible. https://youtu.be/4pa5DXsmifI Playlist of the entire montage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qH4NLRAHfk4&list=PLR6SGGlMyWrezl_Al_Bc2pkKFYrMp6HXL Greetings and I hope you like it
  22. Hello friends, here I bring you the flagship of the Russian Navy, the aircraft carrier Kuznetsov. It is of the brand Trumpeter at scale 1/700 which comes very well detailed. I really liked to make this model for all the details that have been possible. https://youtu.be/aCEIS_ukdSk Greetings and I hope you like it
  23. Hello friends, in this third part all the engine components are finished and painted for later assembly. If you have not seen the other parts here I leave the link: Part 1: https://youtu.be/qH4NLRAHfk4 Part 2: https://youtu.be/P8wTD-OVy2s Greetings and I hope you like them.

  25. Following the 'comparison' thread - I have made a start on building the Trumpeter 1/72 scale Su-34..... I won't post pics of the sprues - they are available elsewhere and here - just progress photos of the build. The cockpit is quite comprehensive - with a separate door in the rear bulkhead..... but note those ejection pin recesses in the structure behind the seats. Similarly, the nosewheel bay looks accurate - complete with two-parts for the sliding access hatch..... The K-36 ejection seats are quite simplified - I would
