Russian Navy Typhoon and Oscar II

Hi The moment has arrived, I already wanted to be able to show you these two models. Akula-class submarines and Oscar II Kursk class. Both are models of the house HobbyBoss scale 1/350, have been placed on a base simulating the water and which in turn are the basis for your urn. Both have been a benchmark for the Russian navy and deserve a place in my collection. A greeting and I hope you like it

F-23A Black Widow II - the rollout

Hi all! Here is my recently finished model - the infamous F-23A Black Widow II, as she could have look like if entering into serial production. 🙂 The weathering also features quite a significant amount of "what if", but for the conversion i used all the unclassified pics and diagrams on the www.yf-23.net website. I tried to make this kit as correct as possible while sticking to the mentioned dimensions, angles, etc. - all the changes from the prototype version YF-23. As a base kit - it is the HobbyBoss's 1/48 kit and here is the WIP topic. (PS: the pics on the first pages are invisible... don't know why...) and another PS: the landing gear and the rudders move, so i'll take a couple of photosessions - in an in-flight mode and parked. Overall photoshoot:

    F-23A Black Widow II

What`s up guys? :) Here is what i got yesterday - this wonderful HobbyBoss kit in 1/48. The YF-23 is a very cool plane, but i plan to make it even cooler - for instance how it should look like as a serial F-23A Black Widow II. Of cource, i don`t plan to start it any time sooner. Yet check out this monter kit - so nice boundaries and continuities and curves and shapes... beauty beauty!
  5. I'm not really keen on assembling individual cylinders to a crankcase, so I'm wondering if anyone has tried to fit the Quickboost FM-2 engine into the Vector cowl? I was able to get the engine done properly on my Czech Models Fireball, hence my hesitation... I will if I have to, but if I can get away with not doing it…

    Sukhoi Su-57; T-50-5R PAK-FA

The first finished model of 2017. HobbyBoss kit in 1:72ish scale (closer to 1:60 I guess) and Begemot decals. Several changes had to be made in order to bring the kit, built to represent the first two prototypes, to the rebuilt 5th flying prototype. A Hornets Nest

Greetings, I built a Hasegawa Hornet several years ago and remember it being a fun build that went together with few problems. I had a Hobbyboss A model, another Hasegawa D model and the new Kinetic C model in the stash so I decided to get them all done. I had the Afterburner decals for VFA-87 War Party that I used on the 1st Hasegawa and there were plenty left over so I used them on the Hobbyboss Kit to build an A+. I am not up to date on my Hornet specifics so I relied on the Hobbyboss instructions for the build. Obviously that was a mistake. There were some antennas that got put on the kit that I later found out don't belong on an A+ model. I'm sure you Hornet fans will pick those out. Other than that the kit goes together easy enough and has nice surface detail that some might find a little exaggerated. The one thing that stands out to me and it may be builder error is the main landing gear wheels stand too wide when compared to the other kits. The tires almost touch the inboard wing tanks. I did a panel line wash with diluted oil paint, and over painted some areas to give the impression of touch up painting that goes on during a long cruise. Models Master enamels were used for the painting. The Hasegawa D kit got a little more attention to detail. I got the Wolfpack update kit to supplement the kit. I also installed seamless intakes from Sierra Hotel Models. All those parts were excellent. The markings were from MAW Decals, MAW Hornets Part II and they were excellent too. I tried a new product for me that I like on this kit. Tamiya Panel Line Accent. I put this on over a lacquer gloss coat. It flows nicely and wipes of cleanly with turpenoid. Same touch up painting and Model Master paints like the Hobbyboss kit. The Kinetic kit was built out of the box with the kit decals. Again VFA-87. I like the surface detail of the Hasegawa and Hobbyboss kits more than the Kinetic but the Kinetic kit does have more build options for wing folds, if you like to do that. The wing trailing flaps also seem to be a bit more secure when assembled. The kit decals are from FighterTown decals and they were excellent. I kept this one pretty clean since is the CAG plane. Just the panel accents. Same Model Master paints. Enough words here are some pictures. 10. As the title notes, I'm looking for the canopy and windscreen from the Hobbyboss F4F-3 (Late) Wildcat. I want to build my Wildcat as a Martlet III (an aircraft originally ordered by Greece, but taken on charge by the RN after that country fell to the Axis). I'm looking for the windscreen without the hole as provided for the earlier F4F-3 using the telescopic site. I know that I need the windscreen, but I've also seen references to the canopy as well being needed for this conversion. I don't know if they actually meant just the windscreen or the canopy as well. If you'd like I'd be willing to swap my parts for yours. I will certainly pay postage, however I'd like to keep this transaction in the US to cut down on shipping costs. Please eMail me at DDonSS3@aol.com or leave me a PM. I don't get to this part of the board often. Thanks in advance, guys. This is the kit I've got: The bottom aircraft is the one I want to do: imagescertificity.com
  11. Hi I am looking for either the left or right dual launcher from Hobbyboss' 1/48 F-105G kit Left or right doesn't matter and it is only the launcher I am looking for as I have AGM-45 missiles. TIA
