  1. MiG23BN Ordnance advice

Hi, I’m building the Trumpeter 1:48 MiG-23BN I’m more than a little confused on weapons pylons supplied since the kit instructions are pretty useless in showing which pylon should be in which location. Further adding to the confusion is the pylon shown in the glossy sheet of missile descriptions/painting instructions where the APU-23 pylon is shown but does not exist in the box parts, however it is shown in the more distant MiG-23BN on the box art carrying a large missile. This pylon is shown on the wing glove position. I’m therefore assuming its a type of pylon only to be used in that position with certain ordnance combinations. Any advice? Also confusing is that the MBD3-U6-68 multiple bomb racks for the FAB-250/500 in the kit don’t seem to have an obvious associated pylon as the location pins pitch on the rack does not match any kit pylon location holes. I would like to use these with bombs, where on the airframe would they most likely have been fitted and what type of pylon if they had a pylon at all or directly fitted?
  2. Eduard has just announced 1/48th MiG-23MF "Flogger-B" & MiG-3ML "Flogger-G" in Czechoslovak service kit. New tool? That's the question. Frankly I hardly imagine Eduard reboxing the Trumpeter's MiG-23 kits. But who knows. If they're new tool and from the same barrel as their 1/48th MiG-21 "Fishbed" Source: https://scontent.fbru2-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t31.0-8/22382055_1823842124297393_5421894630712582162_o.png?oh=3b46bbc2e5e4abf84b990a1a4b7b5aba&oe=5A403F00 V.P.
  3. MiG-23 canopy framming

Hi, I'm building trumpeters MiG-23ML right now and while searching for a camo scheme, I found some migs with a central frame accross the canopy hood and some without one.Trumpeter meanwhile only included a hood with the frame. Whats the matter with this ? Here is a 23 without it: http://www.arcair.com/awa01/601-700/awa645-MiG-23-Brown/00.shtm Libyan and syrian ones are missing it as well. Could it have something to do with export versions ? Best regards David
  4. Walkarounds and References

I've managed to bookmark quite a few websites while doing research. If you have any additional links to share please PM me and I will update the list. If you discover any broken or problem links please PM me so I can delete them. Enjoy! I am starting the list with Su-27 references. MiG-29 added. MiG-23 added. I will update this thread and add more posts (Su-25, A-7 etc.) when I can find the time. I am keeping this thread locked so no replies can be made in order to keep it 'clean' with only lists of links to sort through. To those who have PMed and e-mailed me 'thank-you's, you are very welcome!
