  1. Hello! Here's my recent project, the iconic P-51D Mustang, the Very Long Range version, operating from Iwo Jima. Kit is Eduard's Tales from Iwo Jima, 1/48. Since is the profiback box, it comes with resin wheels, masks and a lot of PE. Plus, the decals are those you can pell off the film after applied, provided you take some care. You can choose among lots of schemes, all of them very nice and colorful, as they were those days. I've decide to weather mine quiet a bit. After all, fighting from those sandy/dusty/sunny/rainy airstrips, and enduring very long sorties to Japan mainland, es
  2. Back on 1/32nd scale aircraft again this week. We will be looking at Revell's new, at the time that this video was recorded, P-51D Early Mustang. This is also the second boxing of this kit, which to the best of my knowledge only has a different set of decals from the first boxing.
  3. I am trying to build a history of the 366th FG-FBG-FBW-TFW-FW from WWII to today. I have seventeen 1/48 fighter kits, four 1/72 tanker & bomber kits and decals for most types. The one type I am missing any information or photos of is the F-51D while at Alexandria AFB, LA from Jan - late 1953, before the FBG converted to F-86Fs. From the Fogotten Aircraft website I have the following five serial numbers: P-51D-25-NA s/n 44-73026 *1953: USAF 390th FBS (366th FBG). P-51D-25-NA s/n 44-73288 *1950: Iowa ANG 124th FS. *1953: USAF 391st FBS (366th

Would love to do some form of trade for a 1/32 Revell/ProModeler Ju-88. Brian
  5. I have proposed a rather ambitious list of projects. However, this is not too much out of my usual build routine. I usually get 10 -12 kits built in year. I just have them all mapped out in advance for once. The part that will bog me down is the publishing the day to day work that is taking place in the forum. I will do my best. To reiterate my plans I am showing the first four projects. Monogram(ProModeller)-vs-ICM P-51B Mustang Models USA-vs-Roden O-1 Bird Dog Academy-vs-HobbyBoss F8F-1 Bearcat And for now at least:
  6. So was out of town most of last month hence while I have not posted any of these videos. Back to looking at 32nd scale aircraft kits again this week with a look at Hasegawa's older boxing of their P-51D Mustang kit.
  7. Hi gents, I want to show you my progres on this great kit, cheers! Antonio
  8. Hello everyone, this is my not so recent P-51 Mustang from ICM in 1/48 scale. I was waiting for the article to appear a magazine but it is over an year of waiting now so.. screw it, I am posting the article on my website Read the build article here http://www.mmscalemodels.com/2017/12/p-51-d-15-mustang-plastic-scale-model.html Best regards M.
  9. Apart from the Eduard PE seat belts, this was built OOB. This was a build of "firsts" for me: first WWII plane, first propeller plane and first build completed in overall silver. It was painted with Polished Aluminium from AK Interactive's new Xtreme Metal range. It went down rather smoothly and had a great shine over a coat of gloss black. However, it did not adhere well to the kit's surface and several parts rubbed off. After spraying the appropriate areas back with the paint, I sealed the whole model with Mr Color gloss clear. This helped protect the paint thoroughly at the exp
