TRADE INTERESTS - 1/48 Kinetic Sea Harrier FRS.1 Intake Covers or seamless intakes for 1/48 Hasegawa F-4K/M If I receive a high number of responses and multiple people interested in the same items, I will sort the priority in this order - 1) Buyers with US addresses get first consideration 2) Buyers paying by Paypal are sorted next 3) PMs sent to me with the earliest date/time stamp are then sorted. So if 15 people want the same item, the buyers from outside the US and paying by money order will have lower priority than buyers with a US address who pay by Paypal regardless of when the PM was sent. On the other hand, a buyer who PMd me 2 hours after I posted the list, has a US shipping address, is paying by Paypal, and is the only person interested in an item, chances are the item is thiers. Thanks in advance!
  2. I am SOOOO close to done on my Kinetic EA-6B. During the build I decided I would make a diorama. I used the skunk model Nimitz deck kit and have it looking pretty sharp. I would upload pics but can't with the size constraints... that and my work is nowhere near everyone else's on here. However, I am happy with the results. I have one issue though, the launch bar is in the up position. In fact, there was never an option to put it "down". Now the aircraft is 90% built and painted. Any suggestions on how to go about lowering it? Should I take an exacto and somehow cut it as close to the main landing gear as possible? (Again, model is all built and painted. I don't want to really screw it up) I have the shooter in the crouched pointing position, so to have it on the shuttle but have the launch bar up makes no sense, but I don't want to butcher my work. Anyone have suggestions? And, I would totally upload pics if I knew how, and if you all promised not to be too harsh with your critiques. So any advice there would be welcomed on the uploading as well! Thanks all. JRD
  3. So I’m working on the Kinetic EA-6B and it’s coming together. I was placing the nose cone part and saw the instructions suggested weighting down the nose. I took my putty and filled the cone up and slide a couple quarters in as well for good measure. After an hour or so I glued the nose on the jet. The next day I painted the model. Now this afternoon, (24 hours after the paint job), I noticed wrinkles in the nose. As touched to see what was going on and the nose dented in like it was chewing gum when I touched it. I literally pulled it apart. It appears the putty disintegrated the plastic. Now I need a replacement nose cone. I have emailed Kinetic’s address I found online, but in case I can’t get a replacement part, does anyone have any suggestions for a new nose cone? Thanks, and now lesson learned about using putty in that manner. regards, jim
  4. Hey all, I’m building a model of an EA-6B prowler for a friend that flew one in VAQ-132 Scorpions. It’s the Kinetic 1/48 model. I need decals but can’t find any. Does anyone know if they were ever made and where I might look? Thanks! Jim
  5. Cheers folks, I'd like to show you a few photos of my 1/32nd scale EA-6B Prowler, a scratchbuilt conversion based on Trumpeter's A-6A kit. This conversion required the whole bunch of techniques I have access to - CNC milling, laser cutting, 3D printing and classic scratchbuilding. The decal artwork was drawn by me and then silk printed in Czech Republic. I am currently working on a carrier deck diorama , USS Kitty Hawk's port stern section to be precise; this is the area at least one Prowler was typically parked. The Birdcage was fully scratchbuilt as it has nothing in common with its counterpart on the Intruder. The deck personnel is from Reedoak, the pilots were built using parts from several 'classic' resin figures. When will we finally get some up-to-date Naval aviators in 32nd scale?! Here's an early stage of the carrier deck section with the Prowler on top. If you are interested in seeing how the Prowler was built and if you want to see how the deck is being built, feel free to check out my Facebook page "Scale Navy Stuff"; you can find the link in my signature. If you have any critique, comments, remarks or questions, please don't hesitate to ask! As soon as the deck is finished, I'll take some better photos and post them here! Cheers Ben
