  1. This is my first Meng kit and it was an enjoyable build. It certainly looks like a Phantom. I have built quite a few Phantoms and I will rate this one high on the scale of true phantomness. I do have a few nits: All F-4G's had the belly strap, Meng does not supply it; The ejection seats look like an afterthought, no seat belts and no pilots to cover the lack of seat belts; The G models have the characteristic 3 antennas on the spine and Meng has the spots to place the antennas but only supply 2 of the antennas omitting the middle one. The wing tips look more like the wings on C, D, B mode
  2. Hi All, Here are two illustrations of a F-4E and F-4G . The first one is from the 21st TFS, 35th TFW based at George Air Base and the second one from the 52nd TFW based at Spangdahlem. More work of mine can be found here:PRESS Thanks for looking, Lawrence

I am trying to gather up information regarding what kind of Weapons profile those vipers where using for SEAD missions. So far i have confirmed the following profile from Dan Hamptons book: 2 x AIM120 2 x AIM9 2 x CBU103 AN/ALE-50 ECM Anyone is aware of any other profiles? For instance , do they every carry HARMs with CBUs? I think i saw a photo where the Aircraft had like 4 x AIM120 missiles and 2 X HARMs Also, any chance i can find an
  4. Hello, Didn't think I'd be able to join in, but here I am after all. Just happens that I needed an early F-105F for my Wild Weasel collection, and since I was fortunate enough to find a sheet of 1/72 Wolfpak decals "Sambuster & Tyke", which has marking for Leo Thorsness Medal Of Honor mission of April 1967, here we go. References for this build are the downloadable instructions for the decal sheet, as well as the Scale Models issue from March of 1985, which describes the difference in sensors, etc. for the Vietnam F-105 Wild Weasel aircraft. First a pic
