  1. Okay it seems that starting a topic like this inevitably gets Zactoman going so here goes: How long do we have to wait for correctly shaped INTAKES for the Trumpeter 1/32 F-14? Hey, it worked for Rafael Winter with the Flanker. Seriously, I'll buy you the donor kit plus guarantee at least my order plus pay whatever else you want if you'll take this one on.
  2. Rather than have a new thread started for each new product suggestion, please add them here. No guarantees I'll get to them, but I'll keep them in mind for future projects. I won't be commenting on all of the suggestions, but I'll read them and keep them in mind. Please don't suggest the outrageous (i.e. 1/32 B-52). In order for me to stay in business I have to do projects that don't take forever to create and that won't cost a fortune to sell. While I'm starting this thread for you to suggest possible products, I also welcome other suggestions about my business and how I can improve it.
  3. CANOPY/NOSECONE are not available! No, the canopy/nosecone is not available yet. Please don't e-mail asking about it. The nosecone can not be sold separately, it only works together with my canopy. I will be doing some tests in the near future that will hopefully solve the vacuumforming problems I was having. If I am successful I will be re-releasing both the A-7 and Su-27 canopy sets. I will post updates here after doing the tests. The canopy and intake parts will be sold separately. I will not be offering the combo as before. The A-7 intake correction parts are now available again. This is not the full seamless intake, just the corrected lip and the adapter piece which forces the intake and fuselage into the correct shape. If I am successful with the canopy I will consider re-releasing the seamless intake. Chris http://www.zactomodels.com/
  4. Now available: Full exterior set! Order now! www.Zactomodels.com Already ordered the MMS and want the rest? E-mail me for details. Still available separately: 1/35 OH-58D Kiowa MMS Some more awesome tooling from Eastern! Check out Alexander's OH-58D Kiowa build: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=227564 www.Zactomodels.com
  5. July 14, 2011: I re-released the sets a few days ago and they sold like hot cakes! Sorry if you didn't get one before they were gone. It will be at least a couple of weeks before I get more vacformed canopies in stock at which point I will re-re-release them and update this thread. __________________________________________________________________________________________ The kit will include corrections for the canopy, nosecone and intake (Whoa, deja-vu...). Still in the 'roughed out' early stages and in need of tweaks and adjustments... Anybody have good references for the canopy internal frame details? I have 'Lock-on no.9' and Concord SLUF I've found these sites with walkarounds: http://www.primeportal.net/hangar/a-7_corsair.htm http://daytonipms.com/Walks/A7D_files/A7D.htm and ARCs walkarounds... 1/32 YF-23 is temporarily on hold... :( :D
  6. Edit: This project is on hold! Please don't ask about the status. I will be continuing the project in the future! There is still a whole bunch of work required to bring this to kit form. I really wish that I could work on it full time, but for now I have to keep producing other smaller products to survive as a business. I will post new updates and let you all know as soon as I am working on it again. Price will be determined when it is close to being finished. The Northrop YF-23 Black Widow II Advanced Tactical Fighter. Such a beautiful airplane that I just had to have one…In 1/32 of course! This is a project that I began about 10 years ago and put on hold when life got in the way… About three years ago I dug it up and started working on it again with plans to start Zactomodels once it was finished. Then Trumpeter went and released one of my other favorites, the Su-27. I set the YF-23 aside planning to do a nice OOB Flanker… :D (Trumpeter 1/32 Su-27 ..., How long have we wait...) The Flanker parts are done, Zactomodels exists and I just had to get back to the YF-23. Unfortunately I didn’t end up with a nice finished Flanker sitting next to my Mig-29. Maybe some day… I want to thank Bela. He not only graciously set his YF-23 aside and agreed to work on one his other projects, but also exchanged YF-23 references with me as well. Cheers my friend! I look forward to seeing your birds! ;) Any other references, especially the cockpit, weapons-bay and exhausts would be greatly appreciated Unfortunately I don’t have pics of the early stages of the build. I hand carved it from blocks of 12lb. sign foam that were pinned together. Spackled, primed, puttied, primed, puttied, primed, puttied, primed, puttied, primed, puttied, primed, puttied, primed, puttied and primed until I was happy with it. I then mounted the fuselage halves, boxed them and poured a mold. Next I removed the pattern from the mold and added a wall thickness using sheet wax and clay. I then poured the second half, the inner core of the molds. Next I casted a copy which I am now detailing to use as the master pattern for the finished model.
  7. Please post some pics of your finished builds using Zactomodels parts. Extra points for close-ups of the ZactoParts! Please provide links to in-progress threads or other galleries with the finished models if you've got em.
  8. Exhuasts coming soon. These were made by modifying and adapting the exhausts Alexander made for the MiG-29M/K kit (also used for the Zactomodels Revell correction set). They are now full depth. I'm working on instruction the sheet and production molds and expect to release them soon.
  9. New stuff from Zactomodels for the Trump MiG-29 kits! Exhausts for the A and UB Chaff flare dispensers for the MiG-29A New nosecone for the A Combo for MiG-29A available at 10% discount! You can choose between the mixed loadout shown, an Alamo/Archer loadout or Alamo/Aphid loadout. 10. Large mouth (MCID) intake is now available! http://www.zactomodels.com/html/F-16/F16_MCID_intake.htm www.Zactomodels.com
  11. Since it's been so long since I've released anything new , I'm posting here to let you know I actually released something! This is a direct replacement for the Academy 1/32 F-16 MCID (large mouth) intake. More pics in the Zactomodels sub-forum showing how this improves the kit: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?/topic/300889-academy-f-16-large-mouth-intake/ www.Zactomodels.com

  13. Small mouth (NSI) intake is now available!: http://www.zactomodels.com/html/F-16/F16_NSI_intake.htm This is the small mouth. Large mouth is coming next. More pics and details soon... :cheers:/>/>/>
  14. Now available: 1/32 MiG-29A Correction Set for the Revell kit: Details at www.Zactomodels.com Update: The correction set now includes full length intakes: If you've already purchased the correction, the intakes are available separately. 1/32 MiG-29 exhausts for the Trumpeter kit: Details at www.Zactomodels.com ________________________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________ Alexander Rogal, "Eastern" here at ARC has been working on some spectacular tailcones to replace those included in the Trumpeter MiG-29K/M kit. He is providing me with the tooling to produce the parts in kit form! The tailcones will be a direct replacement for those provided in the Trumpeter kits and will include detailed resin parts with photo-etch flame holders. The parts are still in progress as is the rest of his MiG-29M. Check out his progress as well as his other models on his website: http://pilot64.gallery.ru/ Here are a few pics of his work so far... I can't wait to pour rubber on this stuff!
  15. APU-60-2 Dual Aphid launch rails are now available! http://s362974870.onlinehome.us/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=192896&view=findpost&p=2247301 See post #220. APU-60-1 Aphid Launch Rails are available! http://s362974870.onlinehome.us/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=192896&view=findpost&p=2041553 See post #190. Su-25 outer pylons are now available! http://s362974870.onlinehome.us/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=223174 MiG-23 pylons are now available! http://s362974870.onlinehome.us/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=219017 MiG-21 Pylons are now available! http://s362974870.onlinehome.us/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=192896&view=findpost&p=2010378 See post #180 MiG-29 Pylons are available at www.Zactomodels.com! Once again Alexander has mastered works of art... I am also offering the APU-73 and APU-60 separately for those who wish to do alternate loadouts. Su-27 Pylons are also available! APU-73 and APU-470 mastered by Alexander. For those that don't want to buy the full set I am offering the wingtip pylons separately. For any of you that might have missed it, Alexander mastered a beautiful assortment of Russian missiles including the Aphid, Archer and variants of the Alamo missiles. >>>Check them out here<<< I will update this post as new pylons become available.
  16. Edit #2: It's now for sale! Cost is $8 + S&H Place your order at www.Zactomodels.com Edit: I screwed up the pattern. There will be no seamless intake... Aires is releasing a gear well set so I probably won't be issueing those parts either. Instead I am just going to release a piece to correct the intake shape: It will require that you remove the forward fuselage and trim the ducting pieces to fit. I'll be pouring a mold and test fitting the castings in the coming days. More posts to follow... _______________________________________________________________________________ Seamless intake anyone? Though the original kit intake shape wasn't terrible, it was slightly off. Out comes the bic lighter and bondo! I've also added the missing internal radar hump. Nose gear well details are coming along. More to come including the main gear wells and speed-brake detail Chris
  17. Now available! http://www.zactomodels.com/ These are the pylons I made for my Trump Intake correction that I've adapted to fit the Tamiya kit. You will need to drill locator holes and remove the existing locator pins on the intake parts. Tamiya got these in the wrong location.
  18. Now available here: http://www.zactomodels.com/html/F-15/F-15.htm Note that there is a discount for ordering more than one set. (promotion ended) The new Revell F-15E Strike Eagle is a really nice little kit but could use a little extra detail. Featherless exhausts Did I mention that these parts are small? Ejection seats Painting the details was easy compared to making them  Centerline pylon and AN/ALQ-131 The centerline pylon is almost always present though it wasn't included in the kit. It looks like Revell will be including it in future releases as the holes are molded in the fuselage (not through holes but internal locations waiting to be drilled out). Though the ALQ-131 isn't used on the F-15E Strike Eagle, I am including it for those who wish to do an F-15DJ conversion. It could also be used for other aircraft such as the A-10 or F-16. The exhausts and seat are molded in dark gray so that you can dry-brush lighter shades without hiding the little details: I made these parts for a personal project I am working on (Yes, I'm actually building a model!). I am converting the F-15E to a JASDF F-15DJ and will be doing it up in #091 markings: I'll post some progress shots eventually (and maybe even start an in-progress thread). For right now I've just done the parts shown above and started re-scribing the airframe to represent the DJ.

    Best resin ever

I just assembled an AIM-9X and am overwhelmed at the quality of the casting, the detail, and the engineering. Just amazing. You guys did an OUTSTANDING job!! Jake

  21. How long have we wait for a new right shape canopy of Trumpeter 1/32 Su-27 ? any aftermarket... please.... rumors or something like that... Rafael Winter
  22. PD-62-8 Pylons are now available! If these sell well I will be doing some other improvements/corrections for the kit. Shown here with the APU-60-1 launch rail and Aphid missile (both sold separately).
  23. Edit: Aphids and Archers and Alamos oh my! These beautiful missiles are now available at www.Zactomodels.com :) ________________________________________________________________________________ ___ Here is the first in a series of Russian Missiles mastered for Zactomodels by Alexander Rogal (Eastern here at ARC). :D The Vympel R-60 (AA-8 Aphid). From top to bottom: Revell, Trumpeter and Zactomodels: Viva la difference! Alexander is also working on master patterns for the R-73 (AA-11 Archer) and R-27 (AA-10 Alamo) series. Check out the progress pictures for the patterns on Alexander's site: http://pilot64.gallery.ru/
  24. Hello everybody! I think I should show you what's on my bench. This is my new scratch project that I intend to offer the Zactomodels to resin cast (of course, if Zactoman would kindly accept my offering. Hey Chris, will you? :worship:/> ) Well, some pictures to show how it looks like. More pics and in-progress ones as well you can see HERE . I do know that the master pattern is not 100% accurate and such mature experts like Jim Rotramel can easily spot at least a dozen of flaws, but I think it's "good enough". :worship:/> Critique, comments and suggestions are welcome. Cheers and happy modeling! Alexander. :worship:/>
  25. I've managed to bookmark quite a few websites while doing research. If you have any additional links to share please PM me and I will update the list. If you discover any broken or problem links please PM me so I can delete them. Enjoy! I am starting the list with Su-27 references. MiG-29 added. MiG-23 added. I will update this thread and add more posts (Su-25, A-7 etc.) when I can find the time. I am keeping this thread locked so no replies can be made in order to keep it 'clean' with only lists of links to sort through. To those who have PMed and e-mailed me 'thank-you's, you are very welcome!
