David Walker
Saw a post over on Hyperscale mentioning that Superscale was now Microscale and a website was listed. I headed over to the site which initially looked like a model railroad decals site, but when I went to "Military Decals" I found this: http://www.microscale.com/Merchant2/mercha...vious_Stack_1=0 On this particular page I found Microscale Decals sheet MS48-1079, "F-14B Tomcat (Upgrade) VF-102 Diamondbacks." When I went over to Great Models.com and looked up Superscale sheet 481079 it's listed as "F-14B Tomcat (Upgrade) VF-102 Diamondbacks" and looking at the artwork it is indeed the exact same decal sheet. Had anyone else heard about this? At the very least when people ask if there's a website where they can go look at Superscale (now Microscale) decals, I guess we can send them here: http://www.microscale.com/
GreyGhost
Yeah, I remember the split way back when ... I had heard it was less than amicable ... Gregg
DutyCat
Well, looking through their online catalog......some pretty good stuff. They sure have been keeping a low profile. No ads that I have seen in mags or on websites. And interesting that just now the word is getting on the street? I have already bookmarked the site. I have an original decal catalog of theirs from the late 70's somewhere around here.
Frank Steffens
I hope they re-release all of their decals...I hate having to duke it out on e-bay for their older stuff, only to receive a sheet that somebody's cat puked on in 1994.
David Walker
It will also be nice to have a direct on-line retailer for the decals also. I was just really surprised that I hadn't heard anything about this, before stumbling on it kind of accidentally.
David Walker
only to receive a sheet that somebody's cat puked on in 1994. That's called "pre-weathering." It's actually very sought after.
