EF
Well, these 3 little birds have taken more time than I expected, but I just need to work on some weapon loads, attach landing gear doors, burner cans and some little details and they will be finished. Time to close the production line. All 3 wear custom made markings but now are avaliable in the recently released Begemot decal sheets. Stencils taken from the Hasegawa kits. First, RuAF "Red 35" from 177 IAP wearing it's unique 3 blue scheme. It's the Hasegawa Su-27 kit with a modified early style tailcone and the front wheel and mudguard borrowed from an Airfix kit, as the Hase kit only comes with the early style mudguard not seen on this aircraft. EF
Second, RuAF "Red 17" SU-27UB from Lipetsk "Air Force One". It's the product of kitbashing a Hasegawa kit with a Heller Su-27UB with modified tailfins and front wheel and mudguard.
EF
Third, IAF "SB 040" SU-30MKI. Another Hasegawa kit with parts from a Heller two seater, modified tailfins and canards, scratchbuilt twin wheel front landing gear.

Koen L
Excellent work EF! Love the weathering you did. Here's 'your' 17 (though after a repaint) as I photographed it a while ago in France btw: Koen Edited October 10, 2006 by Koen L
KRI76
Hej EF! Nice to see you´re working again! Your Flankers are truly amazing: three small masterpieces! /Kristian
EF
Thanks guys! Nice pic Koen. Yeah that aircraft was desperately looking for a new paintjob:
kotey
I'm liked, there is never not enough Flankers. My congratulatios, EF, you make super job. But as i'm still working about Flanker family decals i can say a liitle correction, my 5 cents about painting two RuAF aircraft. 1. In painting scheme, which maked Amerigo Maia had some mistakes in form and place camouflage pattern on fuselage and wings behind canopy. In my develop i'm based on real photo of this aircraft, which make Vladimir Nazarov and can say that with sure. 2. Presidental Su-27UB. During historical flight there is not national tricilour stripes on wings ans tails, its painted later, in April. Same about presidental standart, after rapaint all aircraft in new blue-gray tones and refresh stripes, eagle now is light yellow-gold, in time, when aircrfat was weathering camouflaged eagle was yellow. You, EF, make all right in that case. But as i'm say earlier you model is wonderful, i'm like. Edited October 11, 2006 by kotey

Flankerman
Well, I have other 20-30 on-going projects to finish before building another Flanker. :) Great work EF ......................... Your models - plus all the new decals sheets from Begemot, Linden Hill, Hi-Decal etc - are inspiring me to make some more Flankers - to add to the 16+ I have already built :- http://66.226.87.135/flankers.htm Mine were all built 10-15 years ago - and I think I have improved a little since then :D I have a stash of Airfix & Heller Flankers - all I need now is the time. So many Flankers to do - and so little time! Ken Edited October 11, 2006 by Flankerman
MiG31
I'd say this is inspiration to finish the three in progress on my bench so far (Su-27/34/37). I'm busy with work, school, and a handful of other projects, though, not to mention waiting for a local shop to receive some Pavla canopies so I can complete my -37. Of those you're close to finishing, the Su-30MKI's on my list of future Flanker builds. Fantastic job. Quick note: Did you ever receive my PM, Ken?
