Fleet Air Arm Group Build

Recommended Posts

Just looked at the list and found the Lancaster - but NO details at all.

Does anybody know anything about this, perhaps an aircraft loaned for weapon development or something else?

Mentioned this to a colleague, who happens to be a FAA officianado.

Today I received a Commons Written Reply.

Three or possibly 4 aircraft served with 780 NAS from March 1946 until January 1947.

780NAS was a Naval Advanced Flying School. We have serials, but no side codes or photos - and surmise that these would be surplus Bomber Command airframes, in usual camo/black.
