DutyCat
I know there is a metal one in the Hasagawa Redtails kit, but I have six Airfix Vikings in my stash. I prefer the Airfix kit because of the open bomb bays, torpedoes, Harpoons, more accurate fuel tanks, no wing hinge fairing on top of the wing (they did not last long in the fleet), and separate rudder and elevator surfaces. Its lines are not quite as subtle or well rendered as the Hasagawa kit and there are some other minor weaknesses, but it is better kit overall IMHO as it is a more versatile build. I won't buy a Has Viking just for the metal buddy store. Anyone got one they aren't going to use or are willing to a resin cast for me?
hatchet
How similar is the buddy-store the German Tornados use? I have a couple of RoG Tonkas with the pods and I can spare one if it's usable.
Stefan buysse
Hi, There is also a D-704 refueling pod in the Fujimi KA-6D kit. No problem if you take that one from the KA-6D kit, the KA-6D still has its built-in refueling apparatus. I don't have the Revell Tornado kit and I don't know if the Luftwaffe uses D-704's. Cheers, Stefan.
Richard E
Off topic but I would guess that the Tornado refuelling pod is a Sargent Fletcher pod. Richard
