HGE
B) Hello everbody, I'd like some input before I spend money!!! Is the Hasegawa 1/72 Mig 29 Kit a good model of the real thing? Is there a better one? Airfix? Also, I think todays F-16 on the home page looks great! This is the 1/72 Academy kit? Is it a good model of the YF-16? I would like to put a good YF-16 into the F-16 collection! Thanks Much!!
dreammh
The best MiG-29 in 1/72 I know of will be Italeri. The F-16 is Revell. Its the best F-16 in 1/72 now. There isn't any YF-16 in 1/72 I know of.
dreammh
Okay, so there ARE 1/72 YF-16 kits http://www.habu2.net/vipers/viperkits/72/kits72.1.html I have seen none of them before.
Serelle
Agree with Dreammh. Revell AG's F-16s and Italeri's MiG -29 are the best options in 1/72. B) Serelle
ReccePhreak
There isn't any YF-16 in 1/72 I know of. What about the VERY early Revell 1/72 F-16? The one that came with the engine dolly in it. I still have one of those kits in my stash, somewhere. Larry
Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy
The Hase Fulcrum did a decent job with capturing the "look" and "feel" of the Fulcrum from some angles, but they were working with not enough info, as the only footage they had to copy was the Soviets' demo flights in Finland in '86, first time they'd been shown outside the USSR. So the problems are in dimensions, and in wingshape/span/angles.

The Hasegawa/Minicraft/Academy kits are the only YFs in 1:
volzj
I've got that Hasegawa YF-16 in my stash and considering when it was released it's a very nice little kit. Must have been one of the first Hasegawa recessed panel line kits.
