Dr Fester
So I will start the ball rolling with my entry:- 1/48 Tamiya Swordfish floatplane, OTB apart from the Tamiya PE for this bird. Two things I'm undecided on firstly which livery to do, either the all silver or half camo livery which looks more interesting to my eye. Secondly debating if I should build a dio and have the Swordfish on water. Over to you........ Doc
jrallman
I vote for the half camo look. I agree, it is more interesting. I am in with the Czech Models 1/48 Grumman JRF-2 Goose. It will be OOB but I am using Draw Decals for a USCG plane from Port Angeles, WA, 1943. I'll post pics of the kit and decals in my build thread once I start. (at work at the moment)
Nev
1/48 Hasegawa Spitfire V with MDC floatplane conversion set Pete - I'd go for the camo option. I've seen lots of Tamiya Swordfish floatplanes built, and always in the pretty silver colour scheme.
Dr Fester
Thanks Jay and Nev The first 3 on the gallery. :D Doc
desmojen
I just signed up with a bit of a mixed bag. I'll do a 1/72 HE51 and Norseman, and then a 1/48 S6b Jen.
theplasticsurgeon
Hi Doc, I'm registering a Novo Fairey Swordfish Mk 1 1/72 kit for your groupbuild. It will of course be completed with the floats, which are included in the kit. The kit floatplane version is no 701 Catapult Flight, HMS Hood detachment, Fleet Air Arm, Gibraltar 1938. It is the same aircraft as your Tamiya kit - so I'm interested in your camo debate. I'm hoping that this will be a quickie build - with a long time to replicate a rigging technique that I used on a Lifelike Bristol Boxkite in 1976!
I-16
I'll join. 1/48 Wings vacuform Yokosuka Glen. And, I vote for camo on the Swordfish! Chris
indydog
Count me in. Ok... I had time to look through the pile and here are my choices: 1. Delta 1/72 Savoia Marchetti S-55X 2. Airfix 1/72 Grumman J2F-6 "Duck" (Gotta have something simple after the S-55 ) Mark Edited November 28, 2006 by indydog
Andrew A.
Definitely in! I am a bit of a floatplane kit hoarder so I would be remiss in not getting on board here! I will definitely do a 1/48 Hobbycraft Otter in Canadian Pacific livery- I think I'll also run one of those annoying "help me choose what to build!" polls in the GB forum to pick a second subject Looking forward to another Dr. Fester GB! Cheers, A
Trojan Thunder
We've got to stop meeting like this! I'm in! 1/48 Monogram PBY-5 from RAAF 111 Air Sea Rescue Flight Edited November 27, 2006 by Aussie747

Dr Fester
We've got to stop meeting like this! You again! Great to have all onboard and with the GB website hours old we already have 12 entries with a further 8 in the pipeline. So much for the small turnout, I'm looking forward to this GB more and more...... :D Cheers Doc
jRatz
Been looking forward to this, even collecting some new stuff ... My three top choices are all vacuform kits: - Wings 1/48 O2U-1 - Contrail 1/72 Blackburn Iris - Wings 1/48 SOC Bit bogged down right now, so I have to pull each kit, review what I think I can do, and make a final choice -- right now they're listed kinda in preference order, although #1 & #2 are real close ... I'll do the formal sign-up when I decide in a week or two ... John

Lansen
Wohoo, my first GB...in 11 months;) I hope that room is not an issue, cause I'm entering with some really heavy stuff; Revell's 1/72 Blomm & Voss BV222-V2. More of a boat than an airplane, and sized to match it! Per Edited November 28, 2006 by Lansen
