Revell 1/48 F-14D Boxart

The boxart of shows a low-viz F-14D sitting on a wet tarmac. If you look at the reflection on the wet tarmac you see an a part of an interesting image. You see a partial reflection of a US star along with what appears to be the words U.S. Air Fo...

If you can't see it, hold the image upside down and look at it in the mirror. You'll see it just back of the nose landing gear. I wonder what was there that could have caused that?

That's right.

I'm on the USMILAV yahoo group, and one of the members took that photo (can't remember his name).

I recall him saying that there is actually a T-38A parked next to the F-14D, which was painted out by Revell for the box top photo.

Thats interesting, I've always been wondering about that boxart! Makes for an interesting bit of trivia.
