HGE
Ok guys, which do you think is better? The Hasegawa or the Fujimi kit? I have 2 of the Hasegawa kits and as far as dry fit goes they kinda.... well... suck The shape looks ok but the nose seems a little blunt to me. I have a few Fujimi kits ( an A4 and a British Phantom) that seem great to me. Thanks, Henry
sweep295
although its old now the hasegawa kit is more acurate around the nose profile , fujimi nose is a little fat .if i was you i would hang on and wait and see if the promised new accadamy kit arrives next year . Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy
Funny how such a major mainstay of the fleet has trouble getting a good, definitive kit in 1/72. But yes, although I've only built the Hase, I've heard a LOT of comments on the Fujimi shape.
Hoops
The shape of the fuselage on the Fujimi Hornet kit is generally considered to be less accurate than the Hasegawa kit. However, depending on how patient you are it might be worth waiting to see if the rumored Academy kit shows itself in 1/72 in the future. If it draws it lineage from the 1/32 kit, it could turn out really nice, and I know that I really like their work on the 1/72 F-8s, so they are adept in the small scale. Personally, I have enough other kits to build in the mean time, that I am putting off my hornet projects until the Academy kit is released, and then I will see... -Hoops
HGE
Thanks Guys Wow I didn't even know that Academy was going to put out a Hornet! ( Is it for sure it's a A/b model?) That could be great if it is as nice as their F8 kit! Cool!!
