jmel
I can assure you that this will not be our last sheet devoted to F-4 Cheers Diego Outstanding. I'm sure you're making a lot of people happy with these new F-4 sheets, myself included. I grew up around the F-4s here at Wright-Patterson AFB, and I can't wait to start building some F-4s. Now get crackin' on those 1/32 sheets!! Jake

j-basset
Wowww....., I see myself buying a whole pile of these decals! What took you so long? '07 will indeed be the year of the Phantom. Jason
ChernayaAkula
Moin Diego! Iranian Phantoms - nice choice! (to think they provided CAS during the British operations in Oman in the 70's ) I looked for your 72nd Flanker sheet (th one with the African Suchois) and it was nowhere to be found. Sold out everywhere. But I found them at Rettkowsky's in Hamburg when I was there to have a look at the giant model railroad thingie. IIRC you're also located in Hamburg. Do you know Rettkowsky's? I figured he is quite a nice guy. Another thing: You mentioned an F-100 sheet some time ago - IIRC one each for single- and two-seaters. Is that still in the works? I'd love to see those released! Even more so if they contained SEA camo'ed Huns. That's a niche that cries to be filled.
Andre
(to think they provided CAS during the British operations in Oman in the 70's Interesting. Any insight into what weapons were carried on those missions..? Mk 8xs? Snakeyes? CBU's? Napalm? Cheers, Andre

Hi Moritz, The F-100 sheets will be released later, but are definitively not put on the shelf...but the F-4 sheets have now priority... Interesting situation with the African Su sheet, as these are fully available (already 2nd reprint) - unfortunately, it seems only that most German shops are not really interested in these items... On the other hand, Rettkowsky Hamburg receives all new sheets and has the HDL range fully available - this address is always worth a visit when you are in Hamburg! Cheers, Andre Hi Andre, There will be a separate, second sheet covering more F-4C&D ANG and AFRes options ( California, Oregon, Indiana...) as well as Spanish F-4C and S.Korean F-4D. ChernayaAkula
Interesting. Any insight into what weapons were carried on those missions..? Mk 8xs? Snakeyes? CBU's? Napalm? IIAF.net states „The first combat use by Iran of the F-4D was in 1975 when Iran provided military assistance to the Sultan of Oman in actions against rebels. One of these F-4Ds was lost to ground fire.“ But they don’t give any further details. The Osprey book on Iranian F-4s also didn’t reveal anything. Probably the best readily-available resource is the article on OMAN (and DHOFAR) 1952-1979 on ACIG.org. Pretty long, informative article. Weapons load is 6 Mk. 82s and a SUU-23 pod. http://www.acig.org/artman/publish/article_202.shtml The F-100 sheets will be released later, but are definitively not put on the shelf...but the F-4 sheets have now priority...Interesting situation with the African Su sheet, as these are fully available (already 2nd reprint). Good to hear the F-100 sheets will be released one day. Really lookin’ forward to ‘em. I believe the odd situation with the Flanker decals arose because I wanted to get them just when the first batch ran out. At that time, Buy-A-Model listed them as “no longer availableâ€. Now they list them as “on orderâ€.
Darren Roberts
But I bet alot aren't going to be ANG or AFRC subjects! Jake can help out in a MAJOR way with ANG/AFRC Vipers! In the future there will be a NYANG Viper sheet with both old and new markings from the 174th (Syracuse) and the 107th (Niagara Falls). They will be released sometime in '07. Mike J. Idacavage
Darren, Thanks for the early Christmas present!!!! <_< Which decal line are you referring to for the "Boys From Syracuse" markings. I am hoping that it will be from one of our favorites who is 1/72 friendly! I'll be up for mutliple sheets in 1/72, but perhaps only a single sheet in 1/48. Have fun modeling! Scot M
SH AFRes : Is this referring to the F-4's based at Tinker AFB Oklahoma City ? 'SH' was the tail code for the 465th there back in the 70's and 80's.Just didn't want to get my hopes up. Scot M. from OKC
