Phantom ordie
I was once an avid bass fisherman and so I had a slew of tungsten weights. They are smaller but heavier than lead. I just ca one in the nose.
Phil Wright
I've tried fish sinkers, but wanted something that would be easier to conform. I ended up buying a a 20 lb. bag of fine bird shot (about 2 large fists,) it was the only way they sold it. Stuff is great cause it's ~1/8 in. dia. I put a layer of super-glue, then add a layer of this shot, keep at it 'til I've got the weight I want. Realized I'd never use all of it, I obtained the use of some lab scales. Now I have 50 film cans of lead shot I sell 2-5 a year, walking around trade shows with a bag of film cans. Sad, but funny. -Phil
chomper
Terry Dean (nightiemission) makes custom nose weights for a whole bunch of kits. they are all enough weight to make the nose sit down and custom shaped to fit in the unused space of each individual kit, and very reasonably priced. im not affiliated with Terry in any way or anything, I just think he makes a really nice and usefull product. I've used a lot of his weights, and I agree 100%.
