redgriffins38
Here is the Monoagram USS Voyager I am working on. I am putting lights in her. I am trying to make my mind up if lighting the kit was a good Idea. I have 1/2 of the windows cut out on the main hall. I still have the lower hall to open up and work on the engines. All in All a very nice kit and fun to work on!!! more to come! Justin
si toman voy
Hello, well... my question is: where you will install the battery to supply the energy? I means, if you will install it inside or out of the model??. And that, and success in your model. Edited January 15, 2007 by si toman voy
Wing_Nut
That is some very fine workmanship on those windows, very very crisp!! I think all of your hard work is definately going to pay off Justin. Keep up the tedious job of opening up the windows, it's coming along great. I'd love to see this baby lit up when you're finished. As for the power I plan to run power to the lights by way of batterys in the base that the ship will be mounted on. I am useing LEDs to light the ship. Thanks for everyones nice words Justin

GrandpaVader
Just because you have a window there, doesn't mean you have to open it. Not all the windows get illuminated anyway, as they are in crew quarters and are not always occupied. That could save you some effort. I have a couple of these kits, the Monogram and Revell Germany kit. I plan to light one of them atleast. I picked up one of those strings of LED for Xmas I plan on using for much of it. It's a nice set up and runs off of 4 AA batteries..... Worth considering...
