typhoon1
Hi There i am trying to find some photos of Arkansas Ang 188th FW F-16Cs with the IFF (Bird Slicers) fitted but cannot seem to find any , can anyone help .Thanks for looking.
jmel
I don't know if you realize or whether your topic is a typo, but the 188FW jets are block 32s. AFRC/ANG block 25/30/32 machines are receiving the AIFF as part of CUPID. Block 50/52 are getting them as part of CCIP. Block 40/42 jets are not receiving the AIFF, even though they are currently undergoing CCIP. Jake
Skull Leader
I wonder why the block 40/42s aren't getting the AIFF? Something better under the hood already?
jmel
I wonder why the block 40/42s aren't getting the AIFF? Funding. Everything in the USAF resolves around money and/or getting the approval to spend it. Jake
Spaced Marine
Being from Arkansas originally, I'd love to see some great pictures of the Flying Razorbacks with the tail art. Can anyone help me?
jmel
Do a search in the Real Aviation forums. I posted a bunch from a visit to the base a while back. Jake
Skull Leader
In the meantime, here's a couple from my base visit back in the beginning of December. Kstater94, Jeff Stoermer, and I had a very productive visit! (I'm also a native of Arkansas... Russellville for 26 years!)
Taco44
Here's a different version of 86-0256 when it broke and stayed over at Kirtland last year
Skull Leader
Oh my.... what a zap! Certainly would be hard to catch if one didn't know what to look for. :)
