148bill148
Heeeeelllllpppppppppp!!!!!!!!!! I need help with a JU88 Night fighter. I have a 1/48 PM Ju88 C-6 nightfighter (actually about 6 of them). I have gotten close to finishing it up but I am so not happy with the kit supplied radar array. It is way too bulky. Does anyone know of a decent resin kit that could replace them? I also have the DML kit with the photoetch but that one doesn't look right. Too flat and weird looking. I remember seeing pictures of a resin kit for the same radar array but I am not sure if it was for a JU88 or Me110. Any help would be gladly appreciated. Thanks. Big Kohona
Go here This fella makes some beautiful items in brass and they look great. Not cheap, but by the looks of them, worth every penny. The 1/48 listings are about 1/2 way down the page. I plan on buying a few of his 1/72 radar sets. Hope this helps.
Chuck1945
If you were to cast them yourself, you may be able to make resin dipoles for German WWII airborne radar, but they would probably be too fragile for anyone to attempt to make and ship commercially. PE is too 2-dimensional. The brass arrays in the link Big Kohona provided may be the best commercial alternative. I know in 1/72 I usually just used stretched sprue for the radar array
