Hi all!

It is weird seeing me to post something in here as I am usually involved in modern fighters, but I am somewhat of a sci-fi fan. I have recently started going over the entire B5 series again and I always wanted to build a few of spacecraft you see in there, with a particular interest for the eye pleasing White Star.

I have performed a search but have found little to no inormation at all (might have done something wrong though). I read that Anubis(?) did a few unofficial resin White Star models before they were shut down, but I was wondering if there are any others out there or if someone knows an anubis model still out there for sale.

Hope to hear!

Many thanks in advance,

Michiel

I have the 14" WARP Whitestar (Shadowkiller) kit, which I got from Federationmodels.com..... unfortunately, it's currently out of stock.

It seems to be a fairly nice kit. Being resin, it requires a fair amount of cleanup before assembly. I haven't started this kit, but it looks like a painting challenge of a lifetime, once I decide how to get it done.

(BTW... I just checked www.comet-miniatures.com and it appears to be in stock.... going for 60 pounds.... just type in 'shadow killer' in the search box, and you should find it)

Thanks Vandy!

Yes indeed, i was going to mention i am working on it again (although at a very slow pace). I had started the redesign and the new parts for it in what seems years ago (yes, it is..), i took a closer look at it recently a few times and i worked a bit on it, and i found out i have in fact done the largest part of the work on almost all the new parts (save for the new stuff i must make to replace the "teeth" parts, which will be totally different from my old version).

So, it should be near.

As we speak i am trying to finish all i have begun years ago (there are 2 new quick kits i just did (all new stuff, hypersonic airplanes), but i also am right now working again and trying to finish 2 realspace kits i begun 2 years ago, and once i am done, there are two sci-fi kits i will work on and complete, and they are the Hybrid Technology Living Ship, WS, and another piece i made from a manga. I will start posting updates again soon as i get around working on it again (i still do, only once every couple of weeks or so, but once i get started, it should go quickly (my only problem is that i am usually crumbling under reference material when i work on most kits, and this one is no exception, I have made drawings with dimensions with every small bits of detail that will go into the the "teeth" parts and it is a bit mind buggling in complexity. It takes time when i get started also because once i really get started i want to check every single part and dimensions for all the redesigned bits you see on my NEWS and UPDATES section on my website, I already know i will have to correct most of the new shapes i gave those parts (again) but this will be very minor changes this time (add or remove a mm here and there, mostly that). The biggest part, the new lower fuselage is about complete now (redesigned). I just need to round the corners at the front and rear, and decide if i will attach other parts to it or not, and decide also where i will pour the resin).

And i am supposed to do 2 more sci-fi kits (on top of that one), another one that i begun years ago and for which it should take a relatively short time to complete (another 21 incher), and another one for which i must complete and correct the blueprint, a fighter, but i have my hands full right now with completing the new realspace models and finishing first that new version of the WStar.

But once you see it completed, it will be something else ;) (with all the special reference material i got (which even shows the internal structure (!!) :P.... it will be the most accurate you can find )

(no, i am not going to build internal details that cannot be seen from the outside.. (if i did build the WS like it is supposed to be, the external skin would be too thin, so, there is a bit of compromise. But, if you look closely, you may find out that in some pictures, you can see through the ship (!) (that's why for exemple there is some light that is shining through from under the nose canons)

So i guess, i will keep you posted.

Stephane.
