Eddie M.
It's been awhile since I've posted any photos from back in the day. I was looking at more I need to scan and thought I'd try to find some I've already scanned to put up. Enjoy. Eddie

Eddie M.
I missed these during the first go around, as it appears to have been during my time in the sand. Thanks for taking the time to scan and post these precious photos. Much of these aircraft are long gone and you've brought a smile to more than a few faces. Mine included. I toured the Ranger during a SF Bay Fleet Week many years ago and remember VF-1 and VF-2 Tomcats on deck. Thanks for your service! Jeff You're very welcome! These were taken during Desert Storm and at the time, it was the biggest show of naval force since WWII. We did a photo ex with the America, Midway, TR and the Ranger, which is where I took these photos from. More pix to come. Eddie

illithid00
US Navy aircraft aren't exactly my forte, but you have some AWESOME pics here. I love the one of the Russian Tu-95 Bear being escorted by the Hornet. I'll definitely look forward to seeing some more of these!
usnavyam3
You've got some nice photos there. Makes me wish I was old enough to serve back then with all the different aircraft on deck.
Eddie M.
You've got some nice photos there. Makes me wish I was old enough to serve back then with all the different aircraft on deck. Thanks Everyone. I'm glad y'all are enjoying them. Believe it or not, these pix were just sitting in a big box being seen by no one up until about 4 years ago. I'm not professional photog, but I think these give a more basic look at what happened back then. usnavyyam3, It was cool to be out there with such a diverse collection of aircraft. It's still hard to believe that it's been 20 years since I was out there. Here's some more. These are less spectacular, but still things you don't see too much anymore. Eddie M.
This one is a failure of the tailhhok to retract. We (Crash) go out there, go under the a/c, move down the centerline of the a/c and use a pry bar to lift the hook up and put it a dolly and then the a/c xclears the landing area. Here is a fuel basket that was torn from the hose during a cycle. It was alway a trip to see this.

Eddie M.
Thanks Eddie for sharing. Those pics are awesome. Hey if you have more photos of the Woflpack and the Bounties share them. THANKS FOR YOUR YEARS OF SERVICE. When did you serve? My dad was on the Indy. I see some images of the Ranger there. Thanks. Thank you all again for the compliments on these photos. Jimz66, I was in from 87-93. I used to see the Indy all the time because she was berthed right next to the ranger at North Island. Sometimes at night, after having a few adult beverages, I had to make sure that I was going to the right ship. Look up at the island. 62, no.......61, yesssss Here's a couple of the Indy before she went to Japan. I took the first one from a C-9 on the way to JAX for a big party, ...I mean the AB symposium. It's CV-61, CV-63 and CV-62. The next one was when the Indy was anchored out off of San Diego for drills. Since I posted all my tomcat photos in my VF-2 WIP thread and it's long gone and buried, I'll put them up again. Eddie
