afterburner
Ah, haneto- I have been waiting to see another one of your SUPERB builds! You have no idea how happy I am to see you doing your magic on a Flanker. It's such a beautiful aircraft. To see your incredible detail with 1/72nd scale I can't wait to see what you can do with 1/32. You have a magic touch, friend. Very nice work, sir!
Ivan T.
I can't see the pics!!! maybe the server where they are located is a no-no for my work internet connection.... :( But with out the pics, you can't go wrong with this modeler/model combo :P Ivan Edited March 12, 2007 by Ivan T. mickey
Amazing work, especially for 1/72. At least it will take up way less real estate than the 1/32! Some more close ups of the paint work as it progresses would be great - very inspirational. Cheers, Mickey
DFN
Amazing build.....as usual with you Haneto !!
haneto
Here comes the progress this week. As March is the last financial month in Japanese company,I really have little time spending on it...... Most panel lines are wrong,so I used super glue to cover them and keep on sanding until ready for recribing. The bottm surface of front flap has a very noticable sink mark.Super glue and sanding is also need for filling them. Also apply super glue on fuselage panels. Most of them are incorrect. Then masking the canopy. Sand the panel around canopy to fit the fuselage. Edited November 4, 2008 by haneto
haneto
And here comes my ORIGINAL 1/72 Su-27 resin stuff! Including exhausts, pylons and R-27(4 types). And I'm now busy with the making of R-73 master . I received these resin copies just yeasterday and have no time to paint it. Maybe tomorrow I'll finish painting them and you can check the DETAILS. :) Pay attention to the size of 4 type R-27 missiles, with independent fins. Exhausts, scaled down from AIRES 1/32 resin one.Size OK for Airfix or Italeri(No Hasegawa! ) And I suppose it can also be fit to the future-released Trumpeter 1/72 one. The size. Airfix part on left while Hasegawa on right. The formal products will be on market in a near future,of course issued by a famous Chinese modelling accessaries maker. Wasserfall
I know why it is looking so good!!!, you accidently build the 1:32 scale Trump. instead of the Airfix 1:72  No kidding, respect
LST01
Looking Good!!!! Makes me think of finishing my (our should I say: our) flanker this year! Well, let's say that I really want to be sure that the alclad I sprayed in the intake, doesn't crack. Should be save after 6 months! Cheers!!! Laurens Edited March 17, 2007 by LST01
haneto
Thanks, guys! Some new pics for you! The size of stabilizers needs corrected. And I plant brass rod into the rolling position. Not in order to make the stabilizers movable, just want to increase the glueing strenth. And then the stabilizor can be positioned at the angel when Flankers are on the ground. Some details and size comparation of original resin pylons. APU-470. APU AKU-470 Dry-fitting the whole exhausts. Dry-fitting to fuselage. The fitting is satisfaying. The details are scaled down from AIRES 1/32 ones. Keep painting the missiles.....I'm getting insane...... mario krijan
haneto great work!!! i canot imagine how many deatils you will put on 1/32 Flanker??? :-) i ll see your post on at airforce.ru,did you think to build one of the Klip-Yavr air base flankers?? i never seen build like that......:-) your bulids are like faculty of scale modelling for me :-)
Jonathan Mock
Amazing work Haneto. That Flanker is a pig to build, apparently Heller tooled it via spark erosion but then coated the moulds with something to give it that Beryllium-cast finish. Trouble is, the coating then threw the fit of parts out...
haneto
After picking up some time during my busy working days,I finally finished these resin R-27 missiles. The repeated works and the tiny parts really worn me out...... The fins and bodies are seperated so you can finish painting and weathering before assembling. After washing. Now assemble them, just like the real thing! Got it! Compared with my favourite ciga~~~ :) To be continued...... Edited November 4, 2008 by haneto

But I think I'll have enough time before deciding. A Kilp-Yavr AB diorama will be my aim. :)

haneto
New progress! I rescribed all the panel lines and rivets. And the reference I used is the famous Flanker DVD. After a comparation,I found neither Polygon or Flanker Story is correct. So the best prove should always be real thing pics. The panels and rivets are all based on the DVD,I didn't wanna make any execuse to miss any of them. As the details on light plastic is hard to see,I made some improvement on the pics. To be continued...... Edited November 4, 2008 by haneto
