prowler4
For their age, nice P-3 shots. Having lived in Oak Harbor, just outside of NAS Whidbey, the sound of P-3's coming in was a fine contrast to the noise of an EA-6B. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing. You're welcome. Jet engines may be "the sound of freedom," but P-3s are a lot easier on the ears when you're trying to sleep next to an NAS.
Chris Kethan
Don, Were you in VP-26? I assume you were a VP guy because of your SS3 name. I was in 56, 45 & 94. We probably know some of the same people! Chris

When we got back from deployment, they decommed the squadron and I got sent to 45. Deployed back to Kef in 1992. Is it possible you may have briefed/debriefed me a few times? Chris
Winnie
Nothing like the sweet sound of four Allison T-56 engines flying in close formation on a P-3 airframe! Only have two flights in them, but they are still my absolute favourite aircraft. Best seat in the house, Observer 2!

Kef was a much better place to be stationed than deployed to. Really enjkoyed my tour there (much to my surprise).
