aerofan
Hey guys, Why did Esci put both raised and recessed panel lines on their 1/72 scale F-104's and A-4's? They're nice but the raised lines are hard to rescribe.
DonSS3
Hey guys,Why did Esci put both raised and recessed panel lines on their 1/72 scale F-104's and A-4's? They're nice but the raised lines are hard to rescribe. Neither one of those kits is a new kit. IIRC they've been around for 15-20 years. At the time of release they were definitely state-of-the-art, but they're not now.
Edgar
You can ask the same question, of Tamiya, regarding their 1/32nd Tomcat. We always reckoned that Esci employed, at least, two companies, for their moulds. Just as you despaired, after a couple of diabolical kits, along would come an absolute gem. ChernayaAkula
I'd say that some major airframe parts are for old versions, while the engraved parts were added for newer releases of special versions.
