gambit3131
She's finally complete. You've seen the In-Progress pics. Here are the complete shots I wanted to weather her, but due to time constraints I decided not to. I found that a couple of the decal instructions were screwed up so she is missing one decal that I had to scrape off. Other than that she came out nice.
Impatient Pete
Looks great! Got one in the stash I'm going to have to get to one of these days. Pete
gambit3131
It took me at least 5 hours if not more to do all 5,000,000,000,000 decals that go on this thing. *sigh*
Incaroad
It took me at least 5 hours if not more to do all 5,000,000,000,000 decals that go on this thing. *sigh* I understand completely, there are allot of decals! Looks great, what did you paint the black with. When I did mine I used some black called Wet Paint, by Illinois Bronze and I gotta tell ya some kinda great enamel that was. I think I still have some left someplace I hope it's still good. Top coat was Advanced ( I think) Full Matte and it was really dead flat, but it would turn everything yellow. Nice job on yours Cheers, Larry.
Impatient Pete
Haha! I was going to say something congratulatory about the fact that you actually applied all of the decals, but I didn't. Pete
gambit3131
...what did you paint the black with. I used Model Masters Flat Black #1949. I also heated it up using the technique mentioned here. It went on very smooth and evenly.

gambit3131
Thank you all. On the finish. I used tack cloth on the model before I sprayed the black. I used MM Flat Black spray. I warmed the can up in warm water. A couple of days later I used the tack cloth again to remove any loose paint particles. There were a lot of them. I them used Testors gloss coat, decaled and testors dull coat.
