Cyrus Tan
Okay...here are some progress pics of my other project. I'm using the Black Box pit, Eduard PE, Verlinden detail set, Flightpath set, Erik Marks's resin intake set, and some good old fashion scratchbuilding. Hope you like it? Incaroad
Do we like that... Are you kidding? The first look at (warp speed) and I see that shroud around that 30mm gun and you ask if we like it... What are ya using for the plumbing around those Landing gear? When I did my Tomcat I strung just a few lengths of .010 Solder through all the clamps and connections and it look as though I had 20 or so pieces but there were only a few... Took some time to figure out what or how they went but in the end it looked pretty darned good. As yours do... My oh my... Good stuff here. Man that's as nice as I've seen! Scribing is probably second to none and the detail is superlative as well... MONOGRAM ALL THE WAY!!! Excelent job man! Cheers, Larry.

Impatient Pete
Impressive...most impressivvvvvve Are you planning to replicate the raised rivets on the rear fuse? If so, what do you have in mind? Your work is inspiring and is really pushing me to crank it up a little (OK, a lot!) Thanks, Pete

Cyrus Tan
Thank you for the kind comments guys! :P What are ya using for the plumbing around those Landing gear? Larry...I used stretched sprue. I learned this from ship modelling.Beautiful - how did you get all that detail on the instrument panel? Is that painted on, drybrushed, decals??? Thanks Thommo...they were dry brushed and hand painted. I still need to finish up the CRT screen though. How do you get the rescribed lines so clean? Thanks Ivan! :( I used a sewing needle in a pin vise. After sanding with various grit (course to fine), I scrubed the parts with an old toothbrush with dish washing liquid in the kitchen sink. Viola...works like a charm! Are you planning to replicate the raised rivets on the rear fuse? If so, what do you have in mind? Pete with all the seams and gaps on this guy, my plan is to burnish the raised rivets on the back end to represent the lost rivets. I'm basically, going to poke fine holes with a sewing needle. I tried it on the top of the fuse and it looks like it will work. Beautifully done Cyrus. Am I to assume this will be appearing at the 2007 Nats in LA? Thanks Steve! If I can get it done? I still have my Hornet on the bench too, which is closer to completion.Btw, sorry for the delayed response. I just started a new job today so I had my hands full.
