1/48 Hasegawa Hornet Question

I know that the SH has wing folds in it. Would the wing folds for the SH work with the LH? Yes, no, maybe so?

I don't have any scale drawings here with me so I can't see specifically, but with a larger wing on the SH, I'm assuming the wingfold would run longer in chord a bit, wouldn't it? In other words, I'm assuming the SH wingfold area would be larger than the LH? :huh:

The answer would be no. The fold mechanisms are completely different for the two Hornet variants.

Click on the link above for 3rd Wire Models. They have lots of resin goodies coming out for the Legacy and Super Hornets coming out and I thought wingfolds were in the mix. I could be wrong.

The wing on the SH is almost 40% bigger.
